  • 4 watermelons disliked this video.

  • Approximately 90% of watermelons hated the history channel.

  • @MrPearlJack lol!

  • The firsts MKb's was made on 1942, the MKb Haenel model roll operated like the G3a3 and the MKb Walther gas operated like the Ak47... on 1943 was massively produced using the MP43 name, on 1944 using the MP44 name, for beneficit of the money for smg's... on middle 1944 HITLER discover that thins, and cancelled the production, but viewing the superiority of this gun, renamed it to STuhrmGewer44 (produced since 1942)... a little veteran unit undernumered was near defeat, got by air STG44 and win..

  • ....And then the American response? The browning automatic rifle. Because fuck small rounds.

  • @forcexdisplacement Then came the american M16.

  • SKS assault rifle? what am I missing?

  • Maybe just a blunder... or he saw one that is a AR :P

  • Wish the History Channel would air Mail Call again, it was one of the best programs that the History Channel had back then, plus its fun watching and listening to everyone's Favorite Marine Gunny...R. Lee Emery.

  • As soon as the clips come up a t 0:14 he feels the need to scream...

  • Hehe jaja die Waffen-SS

  • ни чего не понял но кажется старый амер пиздит гнида

  • Хартман, не пизди ! MP-44 и АК а уж тем более СКС - это три большие разницы.

  • Cowering? Those watermelons didn't even flinch!

  • 3 people are Russian! ;-)

  • @Eule595 L0L !

  • @Eule595 your an ass

  • @FilmGuyDebatingInfo lol MK didnt designe the sks he made a gun that looks alot like the sks but is more like an prototype of the ak this is not from wikipedia !

  • Kalashnikov designed the SKS :P and of course the 47.

  • @FilmGuyDebatingInfo actually, Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov designed The SKS Semi-automatic rifle.

  • @MP44StG44Page The sks can also fire in full auto

  • @thesoutherncross100 are you sure ? because wikipedia say's the SKS Rate of fire is Semi-automatic ?

  • @thesoutherncross100 You're thinking of something else that looks like the SKS and SVT-40.

    They're called AVT-40s and AVS-36's.

  • @thesoutherncross100 no it doesen't, i know this because my father has one and we go out shooting once in a while in the firing range

  • @FilmGuyDebatingInfo lol double fail. learn something bout guns.

  • did he just say the mp40 wasnt accurate???? bullshit

  • @ermaslv44 its shit on long range ...anything more then 100 m away u never hit it

  • @SonicTheAngel its the most accurate smg of the time

  • @ermaslv44 aehm just read again what i said / and what they say in the Video ... it migth be acurate allright but as any SMG its shit on long range 9special if you just have a bit sidewind), now K98 is good on long range but slow reload ... so they wanted to kombine it and came up wit the StG44

  • In Finland they cancelled the firearm licence from a guy camrecording shooting watermelons...the police said it showed "tendency to violence" Finland is full of idiots and make sure they dont breed with other nationalities...

  • @SirRetku: That is a very sweeping generalization, not very logical.

  • a watermelon vs.... a gun... yup... DATS THE R.LEE ERMEY WAY.

  • fckn grndpa crzy lol!

  • STg...such a beautiful weapon.

  • it looks lik the first ak47

  • Actually I wouldn't like to live next door to this guy - seriously! Nice weapon, though. Operational MP44s must be pretty expensive nowadays. There's a company in Germany producing semi-automatic reproductions, but these too cost a lot (2,500 €!!!).

  • lol i think he had fun

  • Now i wanna eat some watermelons

  • Everyone knows the mp44 was the grandfather of the two most important assault rifles in modern warfare: the ak47 and the m16.

  • @ae357em agreed !

  • @ae357em Except that the M16 is a direct impingement gas system where as the STG 44 uses a long stroke gas piston. The STG uses a tilting bolt and the M16 utilizes a rotating bolt. In fact the only similarities the two have is that they both happen to be magazine fed assault rifles. But yeah, the STG 44 totally grandfathered the M16....

  • I can not believe he just said the mp44 was used to design the sks (the assualt rifle?! hahaha) This show just lost complete credibility from me.

  • @ae357em May I ask why you think the History Channel requires credibility from you?

  • @jpo2084028 Great you have given us a good over view of the nomenclature of the StG44.

    What's your point?

  • wrong. despit what people say or any comments on this the stg-44 and ak 47 are almost the same. different rounds different bolt systems but the design the shape of the rifle the magazine and the sights are pritty much the same. and the sks is a semi auto rifle not an assault rifle

  • he said mp-44 the abreviation is the stg-44 wich is short for the sturmgewehr 44 not mp

  • He said the mp40 wasent accurate?? Wtf is he hight or is he just really stupid im goin with really stupid

  • @germanairsoft12 He's right. Submachine guns are not accurate beyond closer ranges.

  • @jackzero99 Please define close ranges.

  • @jpo2084028 < 200yds

  • you guys must admit, how this guy talks during war footage its fucking funny lol

  • THE SKS IS NOT A FUCKING ASSAULT RIFLE

  • ahaha a intire squad killed i love this show

  • he loves watermelons, he just kills it before he eats it

  • STOP YELLING AT MEE DRILL SERGEANT

  • The SKS is not an assault rifle...

  • Too bad that the AK47 gave this weapon the boot.

  • Something tells me he doesn't like watermelons at all :( Watermelonist

  • @joba312 L0L!

  • the first gas powered assault rifle in the world...then mr kalashnikov got the idea and copied the cycle of the firing system of the gun...simple as that..how else would he of known about gas recoil if the stg-44 was never invented by germany..

  • @MrMilfhunter2003 Gas operated guns were already in service for quite a while before the StG44 was invented.

  • @MrMilfhunter2003 There were enough enough gas operated guns before, most famous exemple is the M1 Garand. And the stg44 uses a completely different locking system than the AKs use. The STG uses a tilting bolt, the AK uses a rotating bolt. The only thing the russians copied was the idea of intermediate round and the 30 round mag.

  • "Cowering melons" amazing.

  • Comment removed

  • 1:31 HA! xD

  • Is The C. G. Haenel Waffen und Fahrradfabrik , the 44s maker still around?

  • what about the semi-automatic Gewehr.

  • he hate a melon

  • @konigstiger100 L0L !

  • just imagine how many russians got smoked by that rifle. fucking badass rifle. a generation ahead of anything else on the battlefield of ww2

  • i always call the stg 44 a german ak

  • ESTE VIEJITO ME CAE BIEN VIVE SU VIDA COMO UN VERDADERO SARGENTO

  • He's crazy!

  • This guy is so awesome! haha

  • I thought it went MP44, CETME, HK G3?

  • i shot one awesome weapon

  • @MrNelsonb2 you lucky dog !

  • @MP44StG44Page due to its rate of fire its pretty controllable i had a field day with it alond with an mg08 maxim, a mg34, and an mg42 the guy had a collection of 40 nfa weapons registered of coarse

  • the mp43 had nothin to do with the siminov carbine...wtf?

  • brave soldiers with best weapons but yeah bad commanders and stupid war LoloLOLOl

  • Wow, you give this man a rifle and a bunch of water melons and you got a friend for life it seems.

  • @UFOFrenzy Actually the most accurate submachinegun of WW II was the Beretta 38. It wasn't as small as the mp 40 but it did have a full rifle stock and was accurate out to 300 meters;putting 5 rounds into a 4 inch group at that range. The mp40 never accomplished that. The Thompson wasn't as accurate either but had the disadvantage of a not so good sighting system. Even with the Lyman adjustable sites they just had too much recoil from the whopping .45 acp. But was still better than the MP40

  • STOP SHOUTING!!!

  • It's the stg 44

  • You got to realize that the MP44 isn't exactly the first assault rifle. the 1st assault rifle is the American BAR, or the Browning Automatic Rifle. And there's penty of reason why it function more of an assault rifle than a machine gun. 1st, it's lighter than most of the machine guns. 2nd, it's in the name. THe BAR is the Browning Automatic Rifle, not the Browning 1918 Machine Gun, an automatic rifle, which is basiclly the assault rifle's big brother.

  • @JunierMahri246 BAR is not an assault rifle, battle rifle at most.

  • @JunierMahri246 Assault Rifles are determined by their Caliber... Intermediate Powered

More powerful than Pistol caliber and less Powerful than battle rifle cartridge

the BAR uses the full sized .30 cal cartridge... same that the M! garand operated on

    STG44 uses 7.92x33 Kurz instead of 7.92 x 53mm / 8mm Mauser used in the Gewehr 98 and K98K

  • @JunierMahri246 The Bar has 20(!) full powered rounds(!) and weights 16 pounds(!!!!) and you want to tell me that the Bar is an assault rifle. Yo can call it however you want, the BAR is a LMG.

  • @BigMek456 I've changed my mind. It's more of a battle rifle than an assault rifle. A Battle Rifle use high powered rifle rounds just like the Garand. And, the WW2 lmg looks alot different than the BAR. The BAR fires full powered rounds but it have a design of a rifle.

  • I wouldn't say that the relation between the MP44 and the AK is as distant as Gunny claims in this segment. While the designs may be different, the purpose and effectiveness of the MP44 observed in WWII by the Russians lead directly to the development of the AK.

  • "a SQUAD of cowering watermelons!"

  • @MP44StG44Page no the b.a.r was it's called a bar automatic rifle .

  • lol silly gunny the SKS isnt an assault rifle the AVS is :)

  • @MP44StG44Page stupid question, but what about the FG-42 the gun could be used in fully auto and semi auto and it didnt use pistol rounds but ive also heard it wasnt not a light machine gun so what would fg-42 be?

  • @nerfguns25 it was rather a battle rifle

  • @MP44StG44Page i thought the federov avtomat was the first assault rifle?

  • @justinjacques766 technically the first. Not the first in actual usage, or first to be practical. Firing a full-size rifle round at full auto is very hard if you want to hit the target; even the 6.5x50 is pretty hefty compared to the 7.92x33. This is why most M-14s fire semiauto in practice (and I think of the M-14 as the best rifle ever, but even I admit it's real rough at full auto.)

  • no shootin from the hip?

  • You gotta love this show!

  • Comment removed

  • I miss this show.

  • what the fuck he is shoving a mp45 up his ass

  • Favorite rifle on WaW. Accurate, good damage, better with stopping power or double tap. Only the m1 carbine is better than it in my opinion.

  • HA!!!!!!!!!

  • @ArchitectDream The MkB42 is very different than the STG44. Especially in looks.

  • @MP44StG44Page To be correct, the MkB42 was the first assaultrifle to be used in combat....

  • @NorHuxy True

  • @MP44StG44Page google Fedorov Avtomat - thats actually the first to be honest. The stg44 was the first to really get used and actually be practical.

  • @NorHuxy that is a prototype of the StG44

  • @halorecon95 The MkB42(h) was the varian that came into field experimental use. Quite a few thousand were made. Then the MP43 came with modifications found lacking in the mKb42(h). The MP44 had a few details changed, and was later renamed STG44.

  • german engineering

  • .32 cal

  • Gunny is right on the SKS. AK 47 is a whole different design and action from the MP 44. The SKS however is almost similar, but it's all stripper clip fed, not magazine fed.

  • @agumon12 He's wrong actually. The AK-47 uses the same long stroke gas piston with the gas piston attached to the bolt carrier just like the STG44. However, many guns used this type of system before the STG44. The AK-47 no doubt copied the idea of the assault rifle from the Germans, but as far as the actual internals, it's debatable for the reasons I stated. The SKS has very little in common with the STG44. The SKS uses a short stroke piston opposed to a long stroke piston.

  • i miss this show lol

  • @MP44StG44Page The Mondragon was just a semi-automatic rifle.It was not a assault rifle.You read it wrongly.

  • They say that if Hitler allowed the MP44 earlier all of Europe would be speaking German right now.

  • @MP44StG44Page They also had a variant of the mondragon which was a machine gun so that it could rival the efficiency of a BAR in combat.

  • @MP44StG44Page mondragon is a rifle and it was used by the mexican army in the 19th century. and the 20th century. It fired both semi and full.

  • i thought the mondragon was the first assault rifle in the world? It fired full auto

  • @SRNF I thought the BAR was the first true assault/battle rifle? Someone could fire that thing on full auto and have an entire mag of 30.06 down range in under 5 sec.

  • @GunsOfThePhoenix i think thats a machine gun, thats portable. Its meant for support. Plus it was made a lot later than mondragon

  • @GunsOfThePhoenix yah it was the first assault rifle for the u.s army

  • @GunsOfThePhoenix The BAR is a light machinegun.

  • @SRNF The Mondragon only fired semi auto, the MkB42 was the first assault rifle to be used in war.

  • @TxKonflicT no...mondragon didn't only fire semi auto. Why would I mention if it was only a semi? It fired full auto. Please if you are going to state a fact to disprove me, link to proof.

  • @SRNF That doesn not make it an assaut rifle. Assault Rifle refers to a file which is chambered for an intermediat round between a pistol round like the 9mm and a full sized rifle round like the .303 or 30-06 for example :D.

  • @Omegon666 what round does the ak use? Is that considered an assault than?

  • @SRNF the AK is a 7.62x39mm round which uses a smaller case and is a slightly shorter bullet than most rifle rounds making it an assault rifle yes :D

  • @Omegon666 so is the mondragon an assault rifle?

  • @SRNF No, it used a larger rifle caliber bullet 7×57mm Mauser. The STG44 is the first of the breed. If you are unsure look up a picture comparing various caliber rounds side by side. or look up list of assault rifles, should find all you ever need to know :D

  • @SRNF naw the mondragon was one of the 1st semi-auto rifles

  • @24GordonFan223 IT FIRED FULL AUTO. Thats what I am trying to say

  • @24GordonFan223 yes but it fired full auto too

  • @24GordonFan223 yes I know it can fire semi. Pay attention, I said it fired auto too. I didn't ask if it fired semi i know it can but I also think it can fire auto..

If you don't know something dont reply with useless info.

  • @SRNF Mondragon fired a very powerful cartridge, uncontrollable on full auto unless it was deployed with a bipod.

Assault rifle has to be controllable with full-auto.

Anyway, the StG-44 is called the first SUCCESSFUL Assault Rifle, several others fit the criteria before it but failed to be widely accepted.

  • @Treblaine finally someone who just doesn't say *no* it only fired semi.

I hate idiots that reply thinking they have facts from a quick google search.

Thanks for telling me this friend I needed to confirm.

  • @SRNF mondragon was the first selective fire rifle but it was still a full rifle with a rifle cartridge so it would be dubbed a battle rifle like an M14 however an assault rifle has a midsize cartridge with a selective fire option

  • @SRNF No Mondragon rifle was the first automatic or semiautomatic rifle in the world, but putr the back ground to the individual automatic firer arms.

  • @SRNF: It was technically a battle rifle, firing a full sized cartridge. It was amazingly advanced for that time but nothing like a modern assault rifle in doctrine. Assault rifles fire intermediate caliber rounds and are used to close to intermediate engagement ranges.

  • @SRNF you and the other 2 guys post are wrong the Mondrgaon is just regular semi auto rifle liek the M1 Garand. The MKB42 is the replica of the STG 44.

  • Comment removed

  • @lovejen01 it can fire automatic and semi. It is select fire

  • @SRNF If you mean the Mondragon no, it is only semi auto. The STG 44 is semi and full auto. I was also correcting the guy who said MKB42 was the first full auto. it is the replica of the STG 44.

  • @lovejen01 it can fire automatic, its not an assault rifle but i suggest u research before you say *no* and if you disagree provide proof. Any two year old can write no in a comment.

  • @SRNF are talking about Mondragon of STG 44

  • @SRNF The Mondragon used the full sized, battle rifle, round. Capable of full auto yes but not a true assault rifle. The first purposefully designed "assault" rifle was manufactured in Russia. It was called the Federov after its creator. The Federov used the shorter, rimless 6.5 mm Japanese cartridge. Although technically for a full sized rifle it was not a true battle rifle round and Federov thought it would make a good intermediate rifle cartridge.

  • @deguello66 cool info thanks

  • @SRNF Your Welcome.

  • Looks a lot like H&K G3A3 i used to hold :D

  • Gunny hates watermelons, a watermellon killed his wife.

  • @MP44StG44Page hes more then cool he's a god!!! XD

  • @adriandagangster calm ur dickhole faggot

  • @adriandagangster the m1 garand was a 30 06 lol

  • @adriandagangster Old comment, but 7.92 is still in the .30's so you can call it a 30 cal. More like .31,but whatever lets you sleep at night.

  • @adriandagangster go fuck yourself...

  • @adriandagangster It is close enough dumbass, .2mm is not a lot.

  • That laugh sounded deadly

  • I met gunny once in my life. It was the best day of my life.

  • @DustinTheGoth Oh hey Pvt. Pyle ! xD
