The difference is that Ron Paul's supporters are more educated with what needs to be done and they can stand behind Ron Paul's record...he doesn't change his views, and he supports his views despite them being unpopular to begin with. I find it uncanny that RP supporters act so much like Barack supporters, however, where I may disagree with you on is that it's not just enthusiasm it's more than that, is a blind faith like display and I will also disagree that he does have a number of very well educated followers but I find the same blind stare and I don't have an answer deer in the head lights on a lot of his supporters.
@Logoned I don't think it's blind faith. I think it's actually doing research on what Paul is saying. This is why I say his supporters are more educated than Obama's. RP was portrayed by the media in such a negative light at the beginning of his campaign, any of Paul's new supporters probably read about his ideas and his beliefs before switching sides. That's just my opinion. I actually never heard of Paul until this campaign...and the more I read about him, the more he just made sense.

It's disturbing that the American public became so enamored with a candidate whose entire platform is based on emotional appeals (e.g., change, yes we can, etc.) His beautiful speeches lack explanations for what exactly he plans on doing, as well as how he plans on doing it. Maybe he will be a great president ... I just find it scary that people embrace what feels good without knowing what it means.

On candidate stands for real change and he has the voting record that matches his words. This candidate has not only the vision, but the specific maps to get there and the courage to do the right thing. He is a threat to corporate America and they have resorted to censoring him by eliminating him from 4 straight debates now. The true leader among the candidates is Dennis Kucinich. He is a man of action, not just words.

i don't get it either. Obama is likeable and i do like the guy but his campaign about change seems rather empty to me as well.
I guess i just like proven change and attempted change,as is the case with Hillary.
Obama might be a good option in 4 or 8 years depending on how well things work out but for now, i don't think so.
Also i laughed when Kerry supported Obama, If Kerry had half the toughness of Hillary, we wouldn't have had another 4 years of the Worst President ever.
