I saw this series a long time ago. I remember the song was subbed as:

Then when he was singing "Jin da di ho" (Sorry if I spelled it incorreclty)at 1:18 he said something about after the sunrise they will have to part. At 1:40 he was telling her not to be sad/cry and that he will bear all the pain. Hope this helps.

I love this drama movie. It's a very sad and romantic drama. Xiaoqi(Ariel Lin) and Dong yong(Hu Ge) loves eachother so much, but since Xiaoqi is not human and is a celestial(daughter of Jade Emperor in heaven)He forbids all celestial and human beings from being in love. After they prove to Jade emperor how much they love eachother he was touch and moved by them. But he only gave them 100 days to be together on earth. Can you imagine loving someone so much but having to part with them at the end?

Well indeed people watch for the acting and casting. That's the point of them remaking it. People know the story by heart, I grew up reading it and the thrill is seeing the chemistry for which Hu ge and Ariel have and also the interpretations of the characters. Having seen the diff "incarnations" you can pick out some of the strong suits and traits Yong wanted in his characters. That's why having this pair (esp. after their great performance, in my opp, in fairy) is so exciting!
