The Americans are too fat anyways. They should start eating their own butt.
Time to feel a small portion of the pain you have inflicted on defenseless countries...You freak out when you don't have enough beer in the fridge, imagine how terrifying it is for the innocent children and women you are bombing on daily basis...
I don't mean to sound pompous but, they bought all of the most expensive products from a grocer (Trader Joe's) that is WAY overpriced. I could have gotten all of that (at the same quality) for $60-$80 in my local grocer, and at farmers markets. That family was paying for the privilege of having everything pre-packaged for them. This is a biased report. Things are bad in the world, but don't lie to people just to get a response.
The family should buy their food at bulk food outlets like Costco, etc.; and raw food at farmer's markets. Buying processed (canned) food is more expensive and not as healthy (they have more salt and corn syrup than unprocessed food).
Am I the only one on the planet that sees the painfully obvious? Global food prices are up because crude oil now trades at $130/barrel as opposed to $30/barrel. When the American economy takes a hit like this, it will be felt globally. We must turn our efforts toward biofuel, leaving less food for the world at large. Blame OPEC and Exxon. Cheaper oil will stabalize food prices.
How bout laying the blame the real reason that this country and our economy are going to pot, George W. Bush, whose endless war in Iraq, and destabilization of other oil producer countries, have driven up oil prices and whose failed policies are destroying our economy and our country. cont'd..
We need to take more control of these big oil companies and stop them from blocking new technology so that we can move to electrical and other alternatives to power our automobiles. In addition, we need to start getting more of our energy from renewable resources such as wind, and get away from using combustible energy that is destroying our planet.
Your 3 arguments are very immature, just as you are for calling beachbumde a hippie - what do you even mean?
Alternative fuels have already been developed and are definitely cheaper than gasoline, but it's the golden age for the automobile industry now, so why would they budge?
Concerning point B, elecrticity does not need to be generated by fossil fuel.
By calling beachbumde a "Z" generation hippie, I meant that his position appears to be that, overnight, we can convert the entire planet into a "green" zone. Our world runs on fossil fuel. We had a decent alternative (nuclear energy) but the liberals shot that one in the ass. And now that won't allow drilling in Alaska. Even if they started today, it will be ten years before we see a drop of oil. Our entire society is based on fossil fuel use (INCLUDING ELECTRICITY). You can't just turn it off.
Your argument that alternative fuels have already been developed brings us full circle on the problem that we are discussing. Methanol and other bio fuels are organic in origin. They come from FOOD. This is the reason food prices are up. Burn the oil, or burn the food. If we can't afford to burn the oil... Sorry world, but we have to burn your food. The laws of supply and demand are being taught to us in a very painful manner. Iran probably has the right idea. Devlope Nuclear energy (cont.)
(cont.) They will have no need to develope nuclear weapons. They will hjave us by the short hairs over oil. Hell we will probably end up helping them develope their nuclear energy program (which we should have been developing and using over the last 40 years) just for some "oil" rights.
Ever notice that their is only one gas brand in Mexico? I notice it is always a Petro station. Because it is regulated by the Mexican government. Do we, as Americans, really want to let the government dictate to the people how to run their lives? Your right... it is all about control. The question to ask is "who is doing the controling?" I think I'll pay $5.00 a gallon for gas and run my life the way I want! Also, your mother is retired. What is the job prospect in Mexico? So the come to the USA
If your in control then why are you making us pay $5.00 a gal. for gas?
In Mexico, Pemex has public ownership, the company has a CEO and stock is traded.
My point was...In America...the de-valuation of the dollar is responsible for price increases.
The Federal Reserve, who prints and controls the value of money, is a private bank. It's not "Federal" any more than FedEx. It's not the Governments idea to control, a small group of "bankers" and neo-cons have hi-jacked our country.
I meant I control my life, but allow me to answer your question as if I control the price of gas. I charge you $5.00 a gallon because I can. The Federal Reserve does print money, based on the price of Gold in the reserve! I noticed you didn't even touch the illegal immigration issue, huh? They are also paying $5.00 for gas. Why dodn't they just go home and pay only $2.00? Because the neo-cons you speak of are also this countries employers!
No, sorry. Money is not printed on a Gold standard. It is fiat currency and that is common knowlege.
The borders are open (during this "war on terror") to help in the demise of the soverignety of America. Yes, Globalists are in control, and will continue to drive down the value of our money, the availablity of jobs for Americans, the compensation for jobs that exsist...etc, etc.
Yes illegal aliens are being used... willingly! They are willing to come here and do the jobs you or I won't do! So unless you are a lettuce picker or a motel maid somewhere, you are a part of, as you so elequently put it, "the Globalists in Control."
I didn't say anthing about lowering your standards. But I did say there are jobs you or I won't do. You say you would do them because your family depends on you, but it dosen't pay enough for the necessities. Answer me this then... How can Mexicans do the job (for your "unacceptable" wage) live and work in the US, and STILL have money to send home to mexico?
Mexicans (generally) have a lower standard of living. I don't want to live with 6 other families and work for 14 hours a day. The American standard is much higher than that.
I've been a manager most of my adult life and don't really understand the concept of a job I would not be willing to do. I have noticed this ideology common among un-successful people.
Why would they put up with a lower standard of living, living with 6 other families and working 14 hour days? BECAUSE IT IS STILL BETTER THAN WHAT THEY CAN GET IN MEXICO! I am an Hr/Safety manager myself, but I worked my way up over 25 years from a clean up man in the mill. I HAVE worked jobs that I was not willing to do (e.g. transfering rotting sheep hides from a broke down refer truck. This has been fun but I have to go back to work. SEE YA! $85,000/yr by the way...
And this my friend is an example of the average intellegence level of the citizenery here in America.
Please God forgive them that bow down to evil as they are not smart enough to recognize it for what it is, or have been brainwashed into believing that evil is good.
Please world forgive American citizens of "allowing" the Government rape the earth and its people as they have not been taught how to think or research or be active in anything.
So you want to bring God into the picture? Wrong forum, my friend! Save your prayers for someone that believes they can be answered... for I CAN and DO think for myself and think people that worship false idols (any idol) are the ones that society has dumbed down and can not think for themselves! As far as asking the world to forgive the US for raping the land... we couldn't be having this discussion if weren't for American ingenuity and struggle to better themselves. So World, your welcome.
Yes I have done jobs that I quit because they sucked! What is your point there? I understand that different nationalities have different standards of living. All of them infinitly higher than they were 300 years ago. America made that happen. Again, World... your welcome. What did I dismiss as theory? Other than "religion" which is a weak minded persons means of justifying his existence in his own mind!
By the way, Rape (of any sort) has always and will always be a part of life. Good vs. Bad, right vs. wrong, etc. There must be a balance of both to appriciate either one. True. Never underestimate the power of religion. Choatic situations have nearly always been a result of religions, Not due to the lack of religion. How many people have been slaughtered in the name of "God" or "Allah"? Religious people think that there beliefs justify their actions... Holy War...Jihad... If Pemex is "a publicly traded" company, how is it they is no competition? I guess it is a pretty safe investment when it's the only game in town, huh?
So your telling me that every Mexican decided to buy only fuel supplied by one company? Does that even make sense to you? Free competition is needed in a free market society. That's why we have laws against Monopolies. Our post office has lots of competition. FedEx, DHL and many others compete for the business. Trains are just so outdated (when you can drive just as fast or fly even faster) that no one cares if Amtrak sinks or swim. Dinosaurs are extinct.
I meant Amtrak is a dinosaur and it is time for it to die. And it will. It can not compete without Government subsides, and we can't keep bailing them out. I got your point... you indicate that there are companies here with no competition. My point was to show that either they do have competition, or nobody wants to compete for the business (Amtrak).
Ok...you missed my point. We were talking about Pemex and I refered you to USPS and Amtrak as examples of U.S. equivilants to how ownership of the company is held.
Nothing about free market...nothing about longivity.
hemp is not marijuana... its a different species of cannabis... and it grows these seeds which you extract the oil and can use it to eat (you can actually live on hemp seed and it tastes good just buy it at your local health store or whole foods) or it can be used to make biofuel. plus it doesnt need fertilizer or pesticides and can grow virtually anywhere
Hemp may not be Marijuana... But Marijuana is Hemp! Kill two birds with one stone (no pun intended) legalize and regulate the growth and sale of Cannibas Sativa. Utilize the stems, stalks and seeds for bio fuel!! Everybody Happy!!! Or just stoned... But HAPPY!
No to the drug thing, but yes, hemp is a miracle crop, a veritable gift from God. A biofuel, a complete nutritional food, a great textile and way to fight global warming, its an all around winner.
I buy almost all of my food and other stuff at the liquidation stores and the Grocery Outlet. Food is MUCH cheaper there. I also get a lot of my stuff at the thrift stores. Otherwise I can't afford food and clothes. When I go to regular, retail stores, I just about keel over with sticker shock.

So your answer would be to develope alternative fuels that:
A) Only the wealthy could afford anyway
B) Will generate more pollution from the burning of fossil fuels needed to generate the electricity needed to charge those cars and..
C) Put a sail on your SUV to utilize the WIND!! (Hope your not in a hurry on a calm day though!)

Food prices and gas prices are up due to the rapid decline of the U.S. dollar.
My retired mother in Mexico still pays $2.00 a gallon for gas, and the food has not gone up there. There was a scarcity of corn last year but.....
Oil is in no short supply, the U.S. has enough in the ground in Alaska to run this country for another 200 years alone.

hemp is not marijuana... its a different species of cannabis... and it grows these seeds which you extract the oil and can use it to eat (you can actually live on hemp seed and it tastes good just buy it at your local health store or whole foods) or it can be used to make biofuel. plus it doesnt need fertilizer or pesticides and can grow virtually anywhere
