I was absolutely stunned to hear of the death of this incredibly talented vocalist. This track was an iconic piece of dance music which I often played when DJ'ing in the late 1980s. He was the only male artist who I knew that could manage 6 and a half octaves vocal range. Amazing talent now lost forever. R.I.P. Darryl Pandy.
This is the mix I've been looking for. On just about every compilation album you get a rather inferior version, but this is the mix that brings the memories back.
I remember hearing this in 1986, and thinking just how different the production sounded compared to all the other "dance" tracks that were out at the time. This was a new and exciting sound, and came just before the late-80s craze for house-influenced tracks, where half the songs in the charts had a "house" style rhythm.

The best mix by far and ironically I can only find it on Now Dance too - you would think the Chicago compilations would have it.
