  • No, if I didn't have head gear I would be dead! regards, Greg Alland

  • clearly if the protection was off Greg would be in the hospital.

The expression on Guro Dan's face says it all at the end.

  • I always love watching Greg fight. He's always calm under pressure doesnt waste his energy, pickes his strikes, and maintains his distance and fighting measure. I see a lot of other people swinging wildly when they fight but Grea IMO seems to alway know what he's doing and what he wants to achieve in the match.

  • What did it mean in the begining of the video that some people didn't want you to show up, if you don't mind me asking? I thought you did supremely and I love this video I watch it over and over.

  • How many knives does Grand Tuhon Gaje have on him in this video?

  • nice video but i dont see that doce pares techniques , i just see,,,, people to receive stick everybody can to do this coz im practitioner fma.

good fight greg is your friend.

  • PS: You can get the same material from our DVD F is the 64 attacks of Pekiti Tirsia and G is the many methods of Sinawali we were taught in the early days.

  • It seems like Grand Tuhon Gaje used to incorporate a stick sparring session in all his seminars in the early days... He teaches with the hands on approach and wants his students to gain from everyone of his seminars.

  • Well, I don't know, he doesn't teach any footwork and you only get 5 attacks. In the early days we got the entire system of 64 attacks that represent the drills we use to improve speed, accuracy and timing. regards, Greg

  • Right of the bat (Greg)strikes to the foot. Good move to stop the movement and he also uses a few #5's which had to hurt. This was a good video of 2 worthy escrimadors. God Bless

  • Inosanto in the background?

  • he's thinking "boys will never learn" lol

  • Yes sir, that's Dan in the background, Dan bought all our videos in 86, at the time there were only six of them. regards, Greg

  • so is this masterkalisilat guy famous or somthin? Thats pretty rough play with those sticks Ouch! ooo but I wanna try. does it hurt much?

  • It only hurts when you breath or think about it, but in the mix, you feel nothing. regards, Greg

    Paulo Albuquerque

  • Yes, but I'm still learning, regards, Greg

  • By the way that was a very athletic, ranked competitor in full contact fighting, that Greg took on and he had sustained some injuries.

Greg You didnt show that or Dan shaking his head in his reaction to the intensity. Also That is The Great, Grand Master Tuhon Leo Gaje jr, Gregs Teacher at the time, taking off Gregs body and Head Gear

  • You are very Knowledgeable and Skilled and even over 20 years ago, You can see are not afraid to go all out. Of Course Your Skill is So far advanced these days. But Still, You were ahead of Your Time back then Master Greg Alland. You Promoted many of the filipino Masters and are directly responsible for much of the current popularity of Kali and Silat. I had seen how many misunderstood you, but I am not like those. I see a person who has a lot to offer and I am a real

    martial Artist like You.
