I also read the original and agree what happened to Riki was against his will but it wasn't castration. It was a penectomy. I know what the translated novel says but I also know the definitions of castration and penectomy are. Not going to tell you what you know and don't know but I do suggest looking at a dictionary. My interpretation of the ending is a little different from the majority, so here goes:
When Riki returned to die with Blondie, I didn't think it was because he loved Blondie, but because of guilt and gratefulness. Guilt for hurting Guy and guilt and grateful for having Blondie make countless sacrifices for him. Riki didn't think he deserved to live. This was a tragic story, and everyone lost in the end. Sorry.

@kurokitty88 You hit the nail on the head. The truth is Riki had a thing for Riki the moment he met Iason but had too much stubborn pride to even admit it to himself. Over time it really developed into true love as he learned what Iason was risking by just having him around. He went back to Iason not just because he was grateful but he loved him that much to give up his own life which he very much valued.
It was so amazing to see the love between them two. They weren't just Master and Pet, they were lovers. They truly loved eachother. Guy was just basically jealous, but when he did that to Iason, he too was showing his love - though it was selfish. At the end Guy realized their love was too strong to be broken. Iason never used Riki, he truly loved him. Iason's love for Riki inspires me, he basically put his life on line for him, and his legs were cut off for Riki. They died together. True love.♥
Such a beautiful and sad ending it made me cry which is rare, its really sad that they both had to die but at least they can be together without any worries now.

OMG My heart is breaking! I've seen this anime a couple times before and I think this time it hit me the hardest, because I payed attention to all the little details, like the incredible choice of music for them dying together.
When Guy talks about "that's the only way that type of love can be requited" I was crying!! These OVAs really are tragic and really beautiful. Props to the creators, they did an amazing job and this truly was an emotional and satisfying ending.

I also read the original and agree what happened to Riki was against his will but it wasn't castration. It was a penectomy. I know what the translated novel says but I also know the definitions of castration and penectomy are. Not going to tell you what you know and don't know but I do suggest looking at a dictionary. Then get back to me.

My interpretation of the ending is a little different from the majority, so here goes:
When Riki returned to die with Blondie, I didn't think it was because he loved Blondie, but because of guilt and gratefulness. Guilt for hurting Guy and guilt and grateful for having Blondie make countless sacrifices for him. Riki didn't think he deserved to live. This was a tragic story, and everyone lost in the end. Sorry.

@000jhc000 another thing in the novel which answered something i was wondering about is if riki hated his life as a pet so much and thought it was the lowest why didn't he kill himself?in the novel it was said that riki valued his life very much ,clung to it with pride no matter how miserable it was and refused to give it up , and the fact that he gave up his life willingly to die in the arms of iason i think was a sign of love that he finally could admit cause he realized iason's love f^_^

@kurokitty88 You hit the nail on the head. The truth is Riki had a thing for Riki the moment he met Iason but had too much stubborn pride to even admit it to himself. Over time it really developed into true love as he learned what Iason was risking by just having him around. He went back to Iason not just because he was grateful but he loved him that much to give up his own life which he very much valued.

It was so amazing to see the love between them two. They weren't just Master and Pet, they were lovers. They truly loved eachother. Guy was just basically jealous, but when he did that to Iason, he too was showing his love - though it was selfish. At the end Guy realized their love was too strong to be broken. Iason never used Riki, he truly loved him. Iason's love for Riki inspires me, he basically put his life on line for him, and his legs were cut off for Riki. They died together. True love.♥

OMG My heart is breaking! I've seen this anime a couple times before and I think this time it hit me the hardest, because I payed attention to all the little details, like the incredible choice of music for them dying together.
When Guy talks about "that's the only way that type of love can be requited" I was crying!! These OVAs really are tragic and really beautiful. Props to the creators, they did an amazing job and this truly was an emotional and satisfying ending.

I don't think Riki would want you to go kill Guy. Riki wanted Guy to live so Iason had to fulfill his wish and the unexpected happened to Iason's legs, Don't let the sacrifice go to waste. Guy was Riki's friend but Guy just couldn't let Riki go because they were the best of friends and basically he wanted to fulfill Riki's wish of being free and he couldn't stand seeing Riki being treated wrongly.. that's why he got over-protective and crazy. Guy just couldn't see Iason's strong feelings.
