I'm glad that American Idol had their top twelve perform this song... I'm not a big fan of Idol but was watching tonight and growing up in the 80's I remembered this song from when I was young. I had no idea who sang it so I looked it up and am happy now. Thanks for posting this! I'll be downloading this version, which is fantastic, for my IPod : )

This complete song (Even the epic extended intstrumental ending) was once used as an end-compilation and credits-tune for a clipshow-episode of the Dutch game-show "Te land ter zee en in de lucht", in English "By land, by sea and through the air." It was really epic to see all those moments and such on this song :) In the credits this song went on and on, really epic :D I'll upload it sometime. :)
