Oh! BTW His parents were Holocaust survivors.
I was saddened to learn of his passing. Robert Schimmel always cracked me up with some of the stuff he came up with. Truly a funny funny man. The world will miss him and the laughter he brought to us.

Isn't what makes a great stand up comedian that nothing is out of bounds??? Everything in life has some humor in it and these guys expose it and for at least a few minutes out of a crazy day they can make us laugh. Blacks make fun of whites, whites make fun of blacks, gays make fun of straights, straights make fun of gays, males make fun of females, females make fun of males. If we can't make fun of people and things, then their would not be stand up comedy.

This news hurts me. Met him several years ago on several occasions. I was on a popular, well known morning radio show in Texas and he was always sweet and kind and very supportive of my attempts to write and perform comedy.
He was a very funny guy. Innovative, smart and a good guy. I'll miss him.
