Oh my god, I want to smell like teen spirit! Actually, my mom told me she bought it for me once, and I have a vague memory of that, but I did think it was the best smelling, and I think it was purple and orchard or something, but I think that was before I heard of the song, which is my favorite song. Too bad I'm young or I could have smelled like teen spirit when the song came out. I hope I can find it again some day. I still get a kick out of saying I was in utero when Nevermind came out.

Cobain came up w/ d song title when his f. Kathleen Hanna,4fm d band le tigre spray painted "Kurt Smells Like Teen Spirit" on his wall. Since they had been discussing anarchism, punk rock, and similar topics, Cobain interpreted d slogan as having a revolutionary meaning. Wat Hanna actually meant h/E was dat Cobain smelled like d deodorant (Teen Spirit) which his then gf Tobi Vail wore. Cobain later claimed dat he was (unaware) dat it w/ a brand of deo til months after d single was released
