My ps3 haqs a problem now. I don't know if this was caused by the use of multiman and jailbreak. It seems that when I try to eject the disc, the disc comes out then slides back in. i had to press the eject button a couple of times before the disc can finally come out enough for me to grab it before it goes back in. @auburngal83.  Noit works on ylod ps3s too.its just that it doesnt work on the 60gb ps3 fat. Just follow the steps, except for ylod situations, turn main power off, hold eject, turn main power on, then let go of it when the fans start. After that keep on pressing the eject button a couple of times amd the disc should come out.

@Saylene2 here is flyin700s way, sounds like a good way to try. take 2inch wide packing tape 6inches long. wrap it around a credit cards with the sticky side out and slide the card in about 1 inch the sticky tape will grab the disc and you can get it out.

Dude my friend lent me a dvd that was sticky on the top it worked at her place but when I put it in mine it got stuck. now my CD drive works fine and the system is still working but these tests don't work. Any ideas how I can get it out without taking it apart since I'm retared with electronics and my dad is stumped too, he's normally good with this stuff.

This works for the 20 gig. No turning upside down. I think there's something wrong with the disk drive itself, because I tested out putting a disk halfway in and took it out before it ate it, and the machine comes on and plays all my downloaded games just fine. It just won't turn on or eject unless I use this trick. And I don't have the YLOD either. It just stays red and won't come on. Anyone else have this problem?

fan test works on my 120gb slim, instead of using the power switch you just remove the power plug, hold the eject and plug back in

Unfortunately tonight my little baby girl..loaded 4 into our PS3 and basically they were all stuck.I tipped the machine up on its side and inserted another disc in while at the same time pressed the eject button.One at a time they all came out.The disc i tried to insert must of caught on to one of the disc that were stuck.Hope this helps anyone.I tried the Fan thing and it did nothing.Last resort was to try and open it up, but it would have voided the warranty.Hope this helps ...good luck.

If a disc gets stuck, just use the emergency eject feature. Hold down the eject button for 10~20 seconds and the disc will eject. A disc got stuck in mine and I did that, worked for me.

@Collin240 i can't help if it wont turn on, but i can give you some basic tips, check if it is plugged it to the wall, then check the power cord is completely plugged in to your ps3, turn the main power switch on and then push the power button. those are just basic steps and i'm sure you checked those. the only other way is to send it in or take it a part get teh disc drive out and the take apart the disc drive.

Flyin700 Don't do it, I figured out the easiest fix ever! Take 2" wide packing tape 6" long. Wrap it around a credit card with the sticky side out and slide in the card in about 1 inch the sticky tape grabbed the disc and within 3 seconds you can get your disc out. There were 3 discs in from my 3 yr old. So I was able to get the top one out and then the second ejected out and a third came out!!!!! It was like having triplets not knowing there was more than one. Pretty funny.

@Flyin700 Cheers this worked a charm - i had 2 discs stuck used the uploaders tip RE turning it on while holding the eject button had my credit card with sticky tape read and pulled one out then other popped out normally. Saved me £100 on my insurance :D
