The angle was supposed to go for three PPV's with both Hogan and HBK getting a victory each and a tie on a rubber match. Hogan agreed, however, he cited an injury and would only work for a PPV that only he would win. Hmp, really, Hogan? Injury acts up when you are booked for a loss but is healthy when you are booked to win? *shakes head in disgust* Pathetic.

I have to correct you on that part. HBK's idea was that his match was supposed to be a classic face vs face with HBK only wanting to know if he can beat the "immortal" Hulk Hogan. The victory meant to Hogan so much, however, that he refused the former proposition and with his unlimited creative control, politicked/DEMANDED that HBK turn heel in their feud.

And where did Hogan go after Summer Slam 2005? Out of WWE after collecting his paycheck. And Hogan returned a year after not to elevate talent (well, just her daughter Brooke's album as a part of his WWE return deal) but to bury the man who was to become WWE's brightest stars: Randy Orton.
