This must be the concert in Argentina where the audience was being beaten back off the barricades by military police and Hutchence got angry, started fighting the police telling them to stop hurting the audience.

The military regime had just ended in Argentina, after killing about 10,000 people. And, this stadium was formerly the site of executions.

INXS was the first international band to play in that country after the military regime fell.

This is im sure the time Michael was protecting fans from the heavy handed security guards at the show.. the guards were totally over the top and it pissed Michael off, one fan got wrecked on the stage after he got on there to explain to Michael that he was a fellow Aussie.. It was more like a war zone than a rock concert!

I don't know why this video is entitled "Michael fight with a crazy fan", because that is not what happened at this show in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1985 or 86. Two of the people that have commented already know the true story despite headline.

I seen the in 1983 than 10 years later in 1994 both shows in Kansas City.He threw water in my face and laughed as I stood in front row wearing Adam Ant make up who they opened for.10 years later he ran up hi5 me than pushed the Sax Man into the crowd for us to catch but he was`nt caught and they stole his glasses.The 2 best concerts I ever been to Hutch was da stuff.

Jon Farriss was using this episode to describe his most frighting moment on stage. There was a big barrier in front of the stage so people up front couldn't see the stage. They started to climb over it and when they did the Security would beat them back. Michael was mad so he started throwing things at the security to make them stop. The audience ripped the barrier by the pressure they exerted. You can see at the end Michael is dancing with fans that made it over.

INXS often did small gigs at tiny pubs to get away from tight mass shows.I know they liked the informal atmosphere.Michael often said it gave him a chance to do something "experimental".My friends liked small gigs because they could meet the band.But you had to be in the know to know about them. In Australia they love to tell you to "have a go" and amany of them have a go at you for having a go.Stupid.Fame often distances bands from their fans, Michael wasn't one for that,he was so approachable.

At this stage INXS had little control over the machine that presented them and Dee if that was the case I stand corrected. I have seen people come to shows just to criticise INXS but I never saw these people get violent so when I saw the clip I thought yep "Tall Poppy" again. The bouncers aren't rocket scientists usually and place far to much importance on themselves.

I have a the Video of this and according to Jon Farris Michael was upset at the security not the fans. The security was not sanctioned by them and Michael was throwing things at them, because they were hitting the fans.

Looks like the "Listen Like Thieves" Tour and INXS were enjoying international and home success by then. If this is an Australian concert Michael was getting the "Tall Poppy Treatment".For non Australians this is a strategy used by many Australians to pull someone better than them down to their level. I think I can see that Michael was being heckled here by some person in the front. I have never understood why you'd come to a show to do that. Jealousey is a powerful emotion isn't it?

Once again, INXS proved themselves to be a great band. They did a song very few famous bands would dare to cover. I don't give a shit about some fight on this video, listen to that bass line and Michael's voice.

Hola!!!yo si estuve,fue el 12 de Octubre 1985-rock and pop festival.Yo fan de INXS, ese dia fue terrible, esperas interminables al igual que la lluvia, la gente salvaje le tiro con barro a Michael,se detuvo un instante el concierto. Michael lo enfrento,la gente subio al escenario...pero continuo.Como olvidar a pesar de los 22 años transcurridos, fue el mejor dia de mi vida...VIVA INXS!!!!!!!!!!!!
