But I like both versions aswell as i like both bands.

I actually work in the music industry, believe it or not, so I know EXACTLY what I am talking about. Even if they haven't, it's a close call between them and a few of the bands on the 2010 package and in no way, shape, or form negates my argument for why BDM was headlining and NOT Fleshgod or some other band.

Cannibal Corpse was a group of people who wrote music collectively. Paul, Alex, Chris and Jack the all team were Cannibal Corpse, one person can't be a band. That was the real Cannibal Corpse.

@PerpetualTrainWreck sir "they" (as in Six Feet Under) didnt write this song. Chris Barnes added the lyrics to the song that Alex Webster (bassist) and Paul (drummer) of cannibal corpse wrote. The only member who isnt "covering" this song is Chris because he wrote the lyrics.

@PerpetualTrainWreck wait. from what i understand and what i've learned over the many years of deathmetal that is moshing in my brain...is that barnes wrote the lyrics to hammer smashed face, while alex webster, jack owen, bob rusay and paul mazurkiewicz all collaborated on the music. i'm not hating on six feet under or cannibal corpse it's just it was a band collaboration, no one in a band takes credit for writing the entire song...unless it's like avenge sevenfold or some gay shit like that.

@PerpetualTrainWreck Well lets be real, when any metalhead hears the title "Hammer Smashed Face" they're all gonna think Cannibal Corpse not Six Feet Under. Chris Barnes wrote the song for CC, not SFU. So in a way, it would be a cover. It would more like everybody else in SFU covered it, and Chris Barnes just so happens to be the original vocalist for the song. So it's Chris Barnes's song, yes. But we heard it first from CC.

@PerpetualTrainWreck It's a song written by Cannibal Corpse. Although Barnes used to be a member it's still Cannibal Corpse's song. It's like The Cavalera Conspiracy covering Roots Bloody Roots. It's Sepultura 's song even though the two founding members left. That's why. :)

@WorldPaintedBlood97 For all intents and purposes, CavCon IS Sepultura. The current lineup of Sepultura playing Roots would be more of a cover. But let's not wax intellectual about whether or not a song is a cover. Also, Max Cavalera is terrible.

@Metalobsession94 Incorrect. Barnes did write the song. What defines a song? Lyrics. Without lyrics it's not a song but an instrumental. CC wrote the music, but Barnes wrote the song.
