I put my bike on a train 1 stop west of Marseille going to Toulon. When i arrived in Toulon... my bike got off at Marseille and went to Paris! SNCF arranged to have the bike sent back to Marseille a week later. I came back to Marseille, picked up my bike and we both went to Bordeaux. But again, my bike went to Paris. n/m the parking, did you try going to the nearby beaches where you have to pay 10Euro per person just to have the priviledge of bathing in their beaches. You rent a space the size of your towel!! Oh well, Italy is just as bad although there's more to see.

Here's a tip: GO TO NICE IN LOW SEASON. I lived in that area for five years. It's a nightmare between June and the end of August. Go to Paris in August. 'Remorquer' is 'to tow.' Your French is good-not much of an accent. I don't know why he wouldn't have understood 'volee'(sorry-no accents.)
Vieux Nice is the best area. Avoid the Zone Pietonne-far too touristy.

Did you go to the beaches in Nice? You have to pay a minimum of 10 Euros to rent a space the size of your towel just to have the priviledge of bathing in their beaches. I agree w/ people who say to stay in the states. Our country offers many great places to visit, and Central Cali is identical to Italy anyway.

In Nice, the rule is basically - if the streets aren't already PACKED with parked cars, you probably can't park there. I've never seen so many cars crammed up on the sidewalks, they should seriously invest in some parking garages.

Here's a tip: GO TO NICE IN LOW SEASON. I lived in that area for five years. It's a nightmare between June and the end of August. Go to Paris in August. 'Remorquer' is 'to tow.' Your French is good-not much of an accent. I don't know why he wouldn't have understood 'volee'(sorry-no accents.)
Vieux Nice is the best area. Avoid the Zone Pietonne-far too touristy.
Hope you saw Portofino or at least San Remo in Italy, because Ventimiglia is a dump.

Did you go to the beaches in Nice? You have to pay a minimum of 10 Euros to rent a space the size of your towel just to have the priviledge of bathing in their beaches. I agree w/ people who say to stay in the states. Our country offers many great places to visit, and Central Cali is identical to Italy anyway.

In Nice, the rule is basically - if the streets aren't already PACKED with parked cars, you probably can't park there. I've never seen so many cars crammed up on the sidewalks, they should seriously invest in some parking garages.
