Esa negrita de Kenya, quien luego quedó Reina del Continente Africano, media como 1,57 m. A la feucha y cejas gruesas de Miss España (Susana de la Llave) la metieron de semifinalista y luego de finalista fue porque las preliminares se hicieron en ese país. Ni siquiera habló nada en inglés (lo que sí hizo la de Venezuela). esa rostro cuadrado de Miss Islandia yo no la veo jamás como "la mujer más bella del world..." Qué gusto tan distinto tengo yo al de ese jurado.

Its amazing that miss Holland dident even make the semi final's and yet the miss universe judges loved her the following year and gave her the crown. the same miss poland also became a semi finalist in miss universe the following year

Sad to say this year is a typical year in the past that Caucasians did well in beauty pageants. There is only one Asian (Miss Korea, barely make it with 25 points) and noone of Africian descendent (although Miss Trinidad and Tobago has 24 points) among the semifinalists. Even the sole semifinalists from Latin American (Miss Venezuela), North America (Miss USA) and Oceania (Miss Australia) are all Caucasians.

Miss USA was NOT White/Anglo. She is Mexican American, a Hispanic/Latina/Chicana. Here in the USA she would be a minority and not White.

That will depend on how you define the term Caucasians. However as I assume she has European ancestry (like Miss Spain in the semifinalists), I view her the same as the rest of the European semifinalists although she may be considered as another race in USA.

I wonder why do they want to announce the top 10 semifinalists in alphabetical order instead of random order? When Miss Iceland is announced, at least 40% of the ladies know they have no chance to be a semifinalists.

Yes, they do. It is quite amazing. However some may say that it is helped by Korea hosted the Olympics that year.
