  • Haters which disliked this video .. you don`t even know to hold the drum sticks :)) HATERSSS

  • I think the DM5 is a GREAT module and PERFECT for playing gigs!! Especially Given the price!!

  • Finally a real drummer!!

  • How good is the bass drum trigger on this thing? I play death metal so it's pretty important for me that it can handle really fast stuff.

  • @nnero0 I'm playing double bass in rather fast stuff (like some older Dark Tranquility or Bloodbath), but in DM6. I would say it works well however I do that for hobby only - not with real band.

  • These are cheaper than YAMAHA DTXPLORER and will outperform yamaha by far! Rolands kit is twice as much. So this is a clear winner in whatever situation.

  • This thing is a toy... sounds horrible.

  • @Kobe8No8Means8No This thing is cheap. So yeah its a toy. But if you compare this to Yamahas chapest DTXplorer things are different then.

  • thubs up if you think why roland bragger even typed this in on youtube

  • KEVIN WEBSTER!!! CORONATION STREET FTW!

  • my hi hat and kick both don't work after a couple months of use and its not the pads or cords any recomendations

  • im in love...with your drum kit

  • Was going to buy that kit. But didn't. :D

  • last demo better...

  • Vous êtes trop fort !

  • Why waste such good pads on a trashy module like Alesis! It would make more sense to use a Roland TD-12 or TD-20 or even a TD 6. Way better sounds

  • goes all metal at the end haha. nice latin playing, I've never understood latin drumming, over my head :/

  • really good rythms

  • If you can pick-up a set cheap enough, go for it.Ya,the stock drum samples seem dated and most of them pretty much suck. but that's all subjective anyways. Jut pipe 'em through a pawnshop guitar effect or two, turn it up and have fun. Hook it up to a computer+have fun with AddtvDrums, EzDrummer, SperiorDrummer etc..A newbie would be Insane to shell out for a Roland. I got an OSP-DDwhatever on craigslist for $250! I have fun with Logic,Live,Gband+apps I mentioned +/or play through my DM5.

  • Yup! Sound like crap!

  • Terrible sounds!!!

  • Is the Alesis DM5 module good for something??? Is it better than the Millenium MPS-600 Module?? Or is it better than a YAMAHA DTXPRESS IV Module?? Please give me a answer. Thank you so much!

  • how was this recorded?

  • It doesn't matter how bad they sound...

It's a midi drum kit... you can hook it up to your computer & use a vst (I'd recommend Addictive Drums or BFD2, among others) to get better sounds.

  • Do you recommend this kit to a beginner and what is a fair price to find a used set? I am a beginner and want a decent starter kit.

  • @TheNRA4ever i have this set and yeah id recommend it, its very nice and doesnt have a bad sound for the price, i think i payed 600 dollars for it

  • what up dm fans go check out my drum videos

  • These sound like 1992!

  • @noweirdbeard yea, i think thats a good thing

  • I love the brain for dm5, only wish it has more percussion sounds and the drums where not made of the cheep plastic that can't bounce.

  • sounds like sjit

  • LOL. Now days you can have a shit E-Drum kit and it dnt matter. Just use it to trigger sampes from a Laptop. Svae ya self money ! :)

  • Can I plug in my guitar amp to this? Or are there electronic drum specific Amps?

  • @sarge777 Any Amps speakers but drum specific will sound better

  • Does anyone know if you can use a pad from a different electronic drum kit, say if i wanted to have a better bass drum pad?

  • @cocakid2113 yes ive done it with different set but on alesis dm5 modul

  • Exelent, i go buy one that on the next month, exellent, i liked the final, van halen hot for teatcher! XD

  • For these drums sets being less than a thousand or around a thousand they really are good

  • The worst drum set I have ever bought, The platic ring around the heads crack and they are not put together good. They are really cheap and and waste of whatever money you spent on them, Roland all the way.

  • I have mine for sale with Evans heads, double bass and minor modifications for extra rebound and quietness. Hit me up if you're interested! It's brand new and I'll let it go cheap.

    Gotta back injury, can't play.

  • u still have it?

    how much?

  • @mkitch21 , do u still have it? what state and city do u live in? i wanna get one but its a bit expensive and im a bit short on money right now.

  • dm5 hangs or stops responding if you play fast metal.

  • @ronniegana2 are you saying you cant blast beat?

  • He uses the most horrible sounds that are in the module.... there are much better sounds in there!! why doen's he use them???

  • is he playing the hart prodigy or the Alesis DM5?

  • I wish these spoilt braggers would shut up about their superior Roland kits. Obviously they will sound better being a couple of grand more, so why even bother mentioning it!

  • @geebert definatly not a coupple grand more unless you go for the top of the line. TD-9 is a great price range for an eletric Kit with some real quality... the TD-12 just gives you a mixer brain. The mesh heads are great, but for the money I actually like the feel and bounce of the rubber. You can really do some fast shit on these machines because the drums are so close to one another.

  • @geebert The people that have a Roland drum feel insecure. Plus,Roland drums are the best.

  • @numanuma20 - That comment makes no sense?

  • @geebert hahaha agreed. "man I have a 3k kit and it sounds better..." think before you comment people.

  • @orangemysterio

well then the main difference is the dm5 has a drum module. You can play it without hooking it up to a computer. But ive never been a fan of the sounds on drum modules. and from my understanding the dm5 cant use the chokeable cymbals as they wont choke with the drum module(you would need the trigger i/o)...but i could be wrong on that one.

  • he's just jamin' out xD

  • @xXtortionXx Indeed, your point is rather well substantiated. However, your mom.

  • get the alesis usb instead....its cheaper and it has chokeable cymbals...of course if you dont have software, dont bother. but between dm6 and dm5 pro id go dm5pro since it has midi, as dm6 has no midi or usb option.

  • dm6 does have midi and usb...dont no wat ur talking about

  • what are you playing it through?

  • that sounds so crap, typical inferior brands.

    yucky midi sounds.

  • @Manic205

    agree.

Roland TD-3 is miiiiiiles away in front!

    you get what you pay...

  • DM6 dude , its way more reliable and better too play on , TRUST ME!

  • how long did it take you to get that good??

  • these are great for practice, I would never gig with one.

  • @NickSayle Well, I would. With a computer, midi interface and some drum sound programs.

  • @NickSayle Who would ever gig with an electronic drumset besides a band like Flock of Seagulls?

  • @slayerrules114

    rush would/does

  • @NickSayle I played a gig with one it went well actually but it felt too gay . I`d never play withan electronic kit on stage again. But it sounded pretty awesome.

  • @NickSayle why would you never gig with one?

  • hey can someone tell me how i can set sounds on my DD506 it similar to this one , what happends is i find the sound and set it but then when i turn it off and start it up there defualt again help me please

  • ive played one of these kits and aside from sounding like shit it feels like playing on magazines with a lunch box lid glued to the top of each one. it feels like utter crap to play

  • I have this kit and it sounds amazing. What really annoys me is that the person in this vid is using the worst snare drum sound you could ever use. I've set mine to a different sound thats more realistic and actually sounds like a real snare drum, not some electronic shit. I've advise getting this kit if you can't afford the 8 grand Rolands.

  • I love acoustic kits, but im getting an e-kit because I can't loud at all hours of the night. (people sleep at my house) thats y im getting a cheaper one, not like that 8,000 roland which sounds beautiful btw. so i hope the drumming world doesn't shun me for buying this but its too sensible not to buy it.

  • you are a fagot, a shit cunt

    enjoy

  • @ashclub255 who is?

  • agree

  • can you choke the cymbals?

  • does anyone know how to record the dm5 via computer

  • Get a mixing board, run the line outs on the DM5 to the mixing board and run the board to your PC. Alternatively you could use the midi outs to record via that format, depends what you've got to record with.

  • yes you download a program called meda audio recorder, and then you get a guitar cable with a mini jack adapter and plug it into the mic input in your compuer and the ouptut of the alesis sound module. simple

  • sounds WAAAAY too electronical. Acoustic all the way!

  • I have an acoustic right now.

And because of neighbors i can hardly play it, so im looking to buy an electric set,

what would be a good, not to expensive set that would last a long time? Oh and i play really hard... haha.

  • Price range?

  • 300-500 dollars

  • I don't know why ppl are thumbing you down cuz you're right. it sounds terrible. I make it sound more natural on addictive drums alone... crap... there's no human feel to it...

  • yes the DM10 notice the first demo on alesis site HARD ROCK 70s that still sounds like machine gunning to me

  • the new DM10 pro will be better. none of that MACHINE-GUNNING rolls etc.......this one is still too static

  • dm10 pro?

  • im planning on buying a drum set and I would like to no if this particular set is any good? (does it last long? does it sound good? etc.)

if not, does anyone have any suggestions?

  • How bout no Alesis DM5 or Roland TD3 or whatever AKTOROfficial said.....how bout a real drum set, metal cymbals flyin everywhere

  • and how about the fucker next door calling the cops on you everyday ?!

  • how about buying a bigger house to fit a drum kit

how about paying to sound proof the walls

how about getting screamed at by neighbours for the noise

How about buying a van to transport an acoustic set.

Is AKTOROfficial gonna do all that for me?

  • i want an acoustic set, but im not allowed one as were in a house joined to two others

so im getting the dm5 pro kit from alesis

  • the hip hop beat is cool!!!

  • either a shit preset or the kit just sounds shit....

    rolas td9....shit yeh

  • how many kist does this set have?>

  • 21, 00 through 20

  • how does it compare to the roland products?

  • not nearly as good, on some kits crashes repeat sound so they sound fake. i would go with the td3

  • So, is this a good electric drumset or not?

Because im planning on buying one, SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Imo the sound of this kit's really bad...but this is low-cost...

  • Who would pay for this crap? You can't really polish a turd. Look up a yamaha dtxplorer. Much better sounds and quality. Simmons just came out with a new e-kit that will be bad ass for the money, 5 hundred bucks get you 3 zone pads...Better then this piece.

  • are the pads loud?

  • buying it!

  • does it have two pedals?

  • u can buy a double bass pedal

  • The new DM6 kit has rubber pads instead of using the "real drum heads" that are on the DM5. (I think that is better, in fact) and it has a brand new module to go with it. It comes out in August.

  • rubber pads fucking suck mesh heads give the realistic and more quiet response of real drums

  • Thank you I been searching for simple demo great job sounds great as well and very affordable thank you again for posting this!!

  • the hip hop was intense

  • eh does anyone know about the new DM6 Kit? I´m searchin for a new e-drum.

  • is it possible to get a doubble bass on that thing? i plan on getting it soon and i need more info so my parents could fall for it... so can somebody tell me all features of the alesis DM5 pro kit? thanx utuberz

  • Comment removed

  • yes its possible to get double bass pedal on this thing.

  • Yeah hes playing double bass at the end...

  • He is playing a double bass pedal at the end of the vid as you can notice...:))

  • well, theres only 1 good crash. but u can turn ur hi hat into a double bass

  • im thinking of buying a cheap electric drum kit, I cant afford those Rolands, would anyone recommend this drum?

  • I'm using a Black Mamba DDK 2 (also a Medeli 506 (or something close to that)) and it's a good drum for a good price ;) look it up

  • im selling my alesis same one thats in the video

  • this set is great one thing i like is u can fine tune the kick drum to sound great and the price is good too...sam

  • pretty good

  • this is the advanced version of the dm5 and it's still fucking awful...

i've got the standard and it plays like a pile of bricks falling onto a greenhouse.

    x

  • all the sounds suck, no holding sustain or what so ever.. sorry alesis but almost the worst commercial ever!

  • the sounds for tom 3 suck soooo bad

are there any other that sound good?

  • YER I AM THE 190,000 PERSON 2 VIEW THIS

  • congrats!!!!

  • I love her too!

  • Comment removed

  • its just the module system. the kit its self isnt the DM5. Its just the sounds from the black box wich is the module system.

  • Im on the alesis website and the model Alesis DM5 dosen't look like this one at all.. im lost :O

  • very nice.

    how old are you?

  • Some nice druming theere.

  • so,this drum set plays outloud without and amp?? or do you have to use an amp... becaise im wondering... doest he madule have a speaker?

  • Worse sounds ever. Proper machine-gunning snare. You need alternating samples!!!

  • is this kit worth buying cos the comments on youtube are mixed it either alesis dm5 pro, session pro dd506 or the roland for £400 ?????

    please reply someone

  • omg this sounds way better than roland td 3 or 6 and cheaper aswell

  • I have this set and DM5 actually sounds better than the video...There are a ton more sets in the DM5 that arn't shown here

  • This honestly doesn't sound like the DM5 I've been hearing, but eh.

  • Dude do you think the alesis dm5 pro kit is a good kit and does it have cool sounds and good triggering? please anwser

  • i never tested it but im gonna buy it caus on EVERY site i go to buy it the lowest review i seen was 3.2 and the normals are 4 and up

  • What are the sounds of the first demonstratin? I have Alesis DM5 Module, but i can't get the tom's and floor toms a cool sound.

  • the toms are makraks, but not sure what the snare is

  • yea makrkas make good toms(say 8 inch to flor tom) and some fine tuning is in order.. i for one have allot of toms on one set up and for the best in my opinion (for me)4 mak raks plus some big o's and girth (or pinstripe and open) for the more bigger toms and floor toms...

either way setting up your own kit is half the fun so good luck

  • it's a dm5 MODULE and a td 6 v SET

  • Actually it's a Hart Dynamics set

  • is it possible to connect this set with fl studio or protools to trigger the sounds in those software programs?

  • yes

  • this kit in the uk cost £299 so i think im getrtting it

  • what is the first sound of the drum kick? is that the arena?

  • that isnt the alesis dm5 pro kit , just the brain module , the kit he is on currently is the td 6 v i think

  • I like the drumkit at 0:55. It's pretty cool that you can make all those sounds with that drum kit

  • I don't think thats a dm5 set, just the brain

  • Check RHYTHMTANDEM.

  • afroman drums at 0:55 lol

  • hey is he using the cymbals it came with or are those diffrent cause the cymbals look like full cymbals reply back plz

  • Im getting my DM5 in a few weeks and I was wondering, I can add more cymbals to it right? Say I want 2 crash cymbals instead of 1 and the ride cymbal, I can add the 2nd crash right?

  • yer there's 2 extra lead ports at the back and they're labelled so :)

  • I'm so gettign this.

  • this song its like shit men, very not really

  • Guys what do you suggest for a begginer? Cause this cost about 500 euros which is not very cheap for a starter..

  • That is odd, because in the states it costs around $500, so it should be a bit less than 500 euros. I recommend this because it's not just a beginner set, but it can be used as an advanced set. So you get this and you don't have to get another set in a year.

  • im about to sell my current drumset to get this one

  • sounds awesome with surround sound

  • dms5 dual zone too

  • i got this :D

  • how do you program ur high hat pedal to be a bass pedal ? I have the DM5 aswell

  • he hasn't its just a double bass peddle if you look closely.

  • Im looking for a cheap e-kit, aroudn 500. i need one that will give me 3 - 5 velocity changes on the drums so i can program it for more drum samples on the pc, does this do it?

  • i think yes

  • posibly the simmons sd7k?? idk tho. probly a little better than this set with at least a dual zone snare and cymbol like high hat

  • he did double bass

  • how do u do fast bass ? at the end of the vid u did very fast bass?

  • He would have just programmed the hi hat pedal to be another bass pedal.

  • Thank You very much!!

  • wow

i have the same setup and that tough to do

    thats amazing

  • lol ya
