Saw these guys in Seattle exactly one week before this concert. This was their first gig since the Seattle Wa.show. I was in the second row and they were on fire. I put these guys up there with anybody
Sorry to compare them with Ked Zeppelin or Black Sabath, I think you can't compare to them, I would compare and put them above even Deep Purple! Such good musicians, lookin for perfection and still rolling!
Saw them in '72 I think it was in Jacksonville Florida....loved it...theses guys were(are) fantastic!!!!!! Would love to see them concert in North Florida soon!
Saw these guys in '73, awesome concert. Owned their Live album and I'm surprised the needle on my turntable didn't cut through the vinyl. Uriah Heep and Deep Purple were my two favorite bands. May David Byron and Barry Thain rest in peace.
GARY THAIN IS THE BEST BASSIST IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK N ROLL. WITHOUT HIM URIAH HEEP IS A SPENT FORCE. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE GARY. YOU ARE ALWAYS WITH US.
this is great! i agree with Vaughnrush. heavy metal has more roots besides zep and sabbith. uriah heep was heavy metal opra progressive jazz folk. seriously< they were hip. i wish the music world would recognize. these guy's were huge in the early 70's even though nobody will say it.
I really pisses me off that Uriah Heep isn't as celebrated as Led Zeppelin, or Black Sabbath. These dudes had as much to do with the formation of metal as those guys, rock gods Uriah Heep are.
I totally agree. Uriah Heep is an awesome group. They are still together and constantly touring in Europe. I've seen them several times in Texas and Louisiana. I wish they would come back to the states. They havent been here in quite some time.
@bootstrapjesse i like them too, but their best album was Demons and Wizards, Zeppelin and Sabbath had way more commercial success. You need to be more than a one album wonder to garner the same level of respect or adulation
Vaughn: Zeppelin 1 came out in '69, when did Heep get together? Also, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton were all a part of the Yardbirds at one time or another back in the mid '60s and the Yardbirds were WAY ahead of their time.
God I love Uriah Heep. My father turned me on to this music. I'm only 21, never seen Uriah Heep live, (I would have loved to see them live when David Byron was lead singer) but I still love their music.
No entiendo la cancion la version es deL uRIAH Heep Live 1973 Birminghan pero el publico es de Budokan, ¿Super wtf?
