Ey dude!!... I have a problem, The inserts doesn't work man!. I have a pc with windows Xp. This problem doesn't happen with my laptop. Please help! I need to use the PC!
So whatever track is selected at the time of the insert, that is the only track affect, correct? If I insert my compressor by right clicking on the track and so forth before recording or even this way, does that mean my signal is going through the compressor before recording or am I wrong there?
@jamesrmooney so when I play it back it back, it is playing back through the compressor, I have not recorded through a compressor? that is what you are saying? even though the compressor is inserted on the track while recording? If you take a look at a video or 2 of mine , I am really trying to up my sound quality of the vocals, an upgrade in quality is very much needed, I am simply uploading instrumentals and recording vocals to them.
@jamesrmooney could you please send me a comment or a private message on any advice or suggestions to increase my sound quality other than getting into a real studio lol which I can't afford right now. I've been asking a lot of people with little response, I'd really appreciate it. Youre videos are awesome but I jus need a little more advice, I'm sure everybody could use a lil more advice lol. but anything you could say to help my sound quality. thank you for your time.

@AKAMUSICkeepit100 Having a compressor as an insert effect will not, as far as I understand, affect the recording.
