Death metal calls for over the top blast beats and 6 minute long 100 mph double bass. while metal is more groove oriented, the rev was great at being a metal drummer he would not really make a good death metal drummer, just like death metal drummers wouldnt make good metal drummers.

Stupid, sure. Unlike most of the people here, I have knowledge of what makes a band good or not. Most of the ones mentioned are good, but still mediocre compared to truly revolutionary and original bands. Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath are the 3 most important metal bands ever. Rush is a revolutionary and musically insane band that flipped rock playing upside down. Death was the first full-fledged death metal band. What bands listed here did anything that original?
@Fluffypopcicle Hey don't get me wrong I like all of the bands you listed! I'm not worried about originality...if it sounds good...it sounds good. Mainstream or not. That's how I see it. Although most of the bands everyone listed I've been listening to wayyyyy before they became mainstream...I just didn't think it was cool that you came on this video to try and call people out on the music they like. Kind of unnecessary.

That is far from a factor in my taste in my music. I love most of the bands listed on here. I just don't let my taste in music get in the way of proper judgement of musicality. I absolutely detest purists who diss on everything mainstream. They're just trying to look cool and this is very evident when people use the excuse "old A7X is better, new A7X are sellouts." Musically, new A7X is much better than old and MUCH more original.

I've loved them since waking the fallen and I honestly think they were a lot better around WTF and city of evil. But I love new a7x too...like diamonds in the rough and nightmare. they're still great, and most definitely NOT sellouts! But yeah I think old a7x is better. But it's just an opinion. I'll never stop loving them no matter how popular they get though
COF is considered the start of new A7X. Nightmare was pretty crummy, but given the circumstances it was okay. Their self-titled was their epitome of creativity. They took what they did in COF and did something even more unique and strange. The Scream riff was based off of a slot machine. Genius. A Little Piece of Heaven is an immaculate example of musical experimentation and creativity. Syn's guitar solos were also much crazier on that album than the others.
@Fluffypopcicle OMG scream and brompton cocktail are the best songs on that album. and I loved nightmare. it took me a few listens but now I think it's amazing. when you say new avenged sevenfold I thought you were talking about like self titled and on..but to me waking the fallen was one of the best of all their albums. STST was REALLY bad and I think City of Evil is their best album. I loved how they used biblical references throughout the album and made it really creative. Best works IMO

slipknot doesn't suck, or at least their newest album doesn't. their newest album is... um...musical... unlike their other albums which are plagued with minor 2nds. you're definitely not one to talk considering you have one of the worst bands of all time on your list (bring me the horizon). a lot of the bands on your list shouldn't make it into the top 50.
You do realize Suicide Silence was heavily influenced by bands like Slipknot, Korn, and Deftones, right?

Stupid, sure. Unlike most of the people here, I have knowledge of what makes a band good or not. Most of the ones mentioned are good, but still mediocre compared to truly revolutionary and original bands. Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath are the 3 most important metal bands ever. Rush is a revolutionary and musically insane band that flipped rock playing upside down. Death was the first full-fledged death metal band. What bands listed here did anything that original?

@Fluffypopcicle Hey don't get me wrong I like all of the bands you listed! I'm not worried about originality...if it sounds good...it sounds good. Mainstream or not. That's how I see it. Although most of the bands everyone listed I've been listening to wayyyyy before they became mainstream...I just didn't think it was cool that you came on this video to try and call people out on the music they like. Kind of unnecessary.

That is far from a factor in my taste in my music. I love most of the bands listed on here. I just don't let my taste in music get in the way of proper judgement of musicality. I absolutely detest purists who diss on everything mainstream. They're just trying to look cool and this is very evident when people use the excuse "old A7X is better, new A7X are sellouts." Musically, new A7X is much better than old and MUCH more original.

I've loved them since waking the fallen and I honestly think they were a lot better around WTF and city of evil. But I love new a7x too...like diamonds in the rough and nightmare. they're still great, and most definitely NOT sellouts! But yeah I think old a7x is better. But it's just an opinion. I'll never stop loving them no matter how popular they get though

COF is considered the start of new A7X. Nightmare was pretty crummy, but given the circumstances it was okay. Their self-titled was their epitome of creativity. They took what they did in COF and did something even more unique and strange. The Scream riff was based off of a slot machine. Genius. A Little Piece of Heaven is an immaculate example of musical experimentation and creativity. Syn's guitar solos were also much crazier on that album than the others.

@Fluffypopcicle OMG scream and brompton cocktail are the best songs on that album. and I loved nightmare. it took me a few listens but now I think it's amazing. when you say new avenged sevenfold I thought you were talking about like self titled and on..but to me waking the fallen was one of the best of all their albums. STST was REALLY bad and I think City of Evil is their best album. I loved how they used biblical references throughout the album and made it really creative. Best works IMO

Too many haters not appreciating music! Firstly, you seem to think I hate BMFV, well I don’t. They're just not as talented as Sir Justin Bieber...FACT!!
I like this EMO band, so I keep coming back, because they need the money, and that extra money can go to improving the band. One day, we can only hope that BFMV will be as talented as Sir Justin. By the way, Sir Justin is not great at guitar, but he is EPIC on the drums.....actually, as good as Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan,

slipknot doesn't suck, or at least their newest album doesn't. their newest album is... um...musical... unlike their other albums which are plagued with minor 2nds. you're definitely not one to talk considering you have one of the worst bands of all time on your list (bring me the horizon). a lot of the bands on your list shouldn't make it into the top 50.

it has a bigger return repair rate because it's poorly made. i have a friend that plays his ps3 twice as much as i play my xbox 360 but i had to get a new xbox 360 3 times because of the red ring of death. microsoft are a bunch of shitty liars too. they told me the 360 they sent me had "improved fans" so it couldn't get the red ring of death anymore. it got the red ring of death 3 months later. the 360 might have better games, but the console is a piece of shit.

rofl no. the graphics for oblivion are different on the xbox 360 then they are on the ps3. that alone is proof you're wrong. want more proof? crysis 2 was tested on both systems. it worked perfectly on the xbox 360 but the ps3 fizzed out. they are very different game systems.
