Knitting Help - Getting Started with DPNs

i dont get how you do the beggining. When i started watching, the shape was already like that! Do you have a video showing how to do that?

Question I am going to start for the first time it calls for a CO of 40 sts can I use 3 needles or do I have to use 4 to even it out?

I am left handed but knit right handed and have tried for a while to learn how to knit on DPNs without much success until your video. I am thrilled to say that I can now knit on DPNs thanks to your video. Laying the needles down and showing what we have to do with all then eedles really helped me understand how to properly knit with all 4 needles. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH! This is the best video out there!

@JTBeadcraft Once you join the stitches in-the-round, it has no choice but to stay in the triangle shape. :)
