  • Mos Def is one of my top 5 favorite artists but i am sort of glad that he is not all over the radio because then in a weird way it would make him less special. Radio tells people what to like.Only true hip hop fans who are not just looking for party music will discover the best in the genre. Its frustrating sometimes when people are listening and singing along to the garbage out now. However, most of the time, it feels good to possess a treasure that others would never appreciate. great song btw

  • of course Common killed it

  • The Roots and Mos Def are true artists and represent the real hip hop. I don't understand why they don't get any radio time. Hip Hop as a genre suffers because of what is and isn't promoted. Not all rap is gangster.

At First I thought it was weak that they would be the stage band for the Jimmy Fallon show, but that publicity has really helped to spread awareness of their long list of classic albums.

  • @dsinanan sometimes i think it's a good thing that they're not huge. at times i sort of like the fact that not too many people i know have heard of them, keep them to myself.

  • @mrdonovan213 i know what you mean. its like if they get too famous, then they lose some of your respect. Plus, i was a fan of Lupe fiasco before he was mainstream but now that hes all over the place, it feels as if hes been tainted. i think hes good but his new album is too mainstream sounding.

  • Def murdered that verse!!!!!!!
