15 years is a pretty good, long time for a dog to live. I'm sure those were the happiest, most joyful 15 years that you and Pizza have ever had, creating lasting memories. So if you think of it that way, you actually gained 15 blissful years of enriching each other's lives.

Alas, nothing lasts forever. Pizza had to go. But he had a good life, and that's a positive thing no matter how you look at it.
