i agree, the a380 is a gas hog & the only buyers are the gas hog barons. At least Boeing has something to offer which is just as good, but at a fraction of the price, & gets better fuel.

@cme98 747-800i cant carry as many pax, and the fuel burn difference is really small beetween them and does not matter really. 747-8i does not seem to have too many buyers either.

The 747 should have been retired even if it's a truely beautiful airplane. Only 110 B747-8 have been ordered and all the airlines that usually bought 747s chose A380s (Qantas, Lufthansa, British Airways, SIA and more...)

Sorry, but IMO this old bird should have been retired. The 400s were classier/much better looking and the distinctive frontal hump has been replaced by what looks to be a half deck! The 777ER will do almost the same job cheaper. Sad end for the icon, which has been superceded and outsold by the a380.

i like a-380, its a technological marvel, except i dont like its bulky shape..

this is the true "jumbo jet" the term we're familiar with..

and it will remain one!

one amazing product after another. I just want to buy one, not to fly, just to get up in the morning and look at, and admire the hard work and dedication from Boeing. It's amazing how excited people get for an airplane, but how could you not with such a beautiful plane.
