For the most part I agree with the ideas in this video, but I have a strong skill-based thinking, as opposed to a talent-based one. There is no genius. There are people who happened to get the right training at the right time, and find the fascination to go get more, and make a good obsession of it.
Read "Talent is Overrated" and "Mindsets" to see what I'm talking about, with actual examples in years/hours of training.
Focusing the mind is good, believing in skill-less genius results is not.
The parts about Mozart writing stuff note-perfect the first time is a flat-out lie.
He was trained by his dad in piano since the age of 3. The earlier pieces he wrote were for the most part copy/paste and rearranging of other composers, just like painters start out by doing copies at first.
By the time he started writing his own stuff he had well over 10 years of full-time training.
Same for Tiger Woods, he didn't just wake up pro golfer one day, he trained since before he could even speak.
@calin4thewin no actualy when he was 3 heis dad dident teach him anything he just went to the piano hit a few keys then he made ba ba black sheep just by hitting a few keys
@ATGgames Did you google or inform yourself at all about this subject?
At least read a wikipedia page, but check more sources for reliability. Took A LOT of time spent at the piano, to get anywhere. Whether it's from age 3 to 4, or from 23 to 24, a year of studying / playing with / figuring out a piano, is still a year.
Nobody just gets born knowing an instrument or activity from day one, it is a myth.
These doubling your brain power videos have changed my life. I've been following what I've learned in this... Having a clear vision of what I want with my life, having complete faith that I can do it, and listen to my mind. Listen to what it tells me, and act on it the moment it tells me. My life has been supremely easier, it has even made me more successful in pulling girls. I put faith in myself now and every girl I talk to is a positive experience when before I didn't know how to say hi.
Wish that Tesla was the person in the examples, as that man's the reason we are where we are, and if it were up to him we would be where we wish we were. Truly a man born ahead of his time, even ahead of our time.
@sim4atata we are all born the same, he choose to ignore the life we think is life and choose to go beyond ignore the things we do day to day. basically there are few who scarfic the life style to learn and understand things that most humans wont do to fear.

In a perfect world, the expansion of intellectual creativity would continually branch outward. However, because we are limited by our physical 3rd dimensional bodies, our contrivances and schemes invariably begin to run parallel to our futureward existence, steering its unrefined wants. Discipline is the inevitable requirement of our physical universe, so people PLEASE!

It would be nice if you gave reference to the speaker in your description. For those who would like to know, his name is Brian Tracy, an excellent motivational speaker and sales professional.
You may well be right, however every human is unique and we dont know enough about conciousness and reality to say that you are right for certain, an open mind is of paramount importance
Why is the internet so obsessed with Tesla? It's pathetic... the guy didn't do much (yeah I know I'll get attacked now) Free energy would have never worked... anyone with an education would know that... So before you attack me for speaking against your beloved "tesla" go learn some basic principles of energy and educate yourselves. Then come at me with facts, not attacks. Please.
science has shown evidence that we may be connected to other people via the Earths magnetic field, so it is scientifically possible that we may be able to access creativity of others if we develop our mind to do so, but this video does not give nearly enough credit to education and our brain's elastic neural network...there is a thin line between science and pseudo-science. and yes Tesla could one up Edison any day.
@HolyReaperX01 incorrect. The earths magnetic field, nor any other magnetic field has ever been shown to link consciousness together. This is absolutely absurd. As is the idea of a "superconsciousness" that we tap into, that is floating around in the air. This feeling of ideas popping into our heads, perfect words flowing without effort is not the result of tapping into some supermind. The brain is constantly working, subconsciously without conscious effort and that is the reason for this.
When I clicked on this video, I didn't see any biological references or any type of real science. This is nothing more than pseudoscience based on speculation. I do not understand how you people can believe in something based simple on chance and speculation. Although I agree with the title in itself because there are ways to train your mind to increase the understanding of your perceptions there is no real evidence that our brains work beyond what we already have developed them to work as.
Somewhat... Its like saying Bill Gates is nothing without Steve Jobs. Bill Gates is great onto himself and would have succeeded without Steve. Without Steve's insight we would still be progressing with computers but at a slower pace. Likewise, Edison was a great man with competition and insight like Tesla just made him push his engineers harder. Tesla unfortunately in all his genius was not a good marketer. I agree Tesla was a great man that was overshadowed by Edison and others.

What an over-simplification of perception. This series basically says there is no Bell curve? Uhh huh. Another reductionist view of man, and his no-one-is-special attitude to uphold Darwinian theory. This must be the drivel Steve Martin spoke of.
@JordanPAT It's really sad how cash is the goal of so many people the value itself we give to it destroys us all , burn the money melt the gold and love :)
@zetigeist no one gives a fuck about that push-over. He left Edison steal his ideas. Such a fucking idiot, realistically. Edison is the TRUE Winner in life.
@Mu5clehead Lets think on this for a moment shall we; AC power transmission, or the light bulb, I'll take AC for $500. Edison was a great inventor (with the aid of several hundred Menlo Park scientists), but Tesla was a visionary, he was a one man think tank, to Edison's iterative process. Stay in the gym dude.
like doc brown who fell and hit his head in the bathroom trying to hang a clock then had an image of the flux compensator witch is wat makes time travel possible
If you're ever thinking of someone just before they telephone, don't get too excited. You don't have telepathy and you haven't tapped into a collective consciousness. What you have done is made the very rational prediction that someone you know might call. When the prediction and the event co-occur it can seem pretty weird (or down right spooky), even to someone who is actively aware of the pitfalls of post hoc rationalization. But nothing unusual has happened.
We've all experienced epiphanies in our lives. It's quite common. But it doesn't occur because we've tapped into a "superconscious" mind. It occurs because imagination and creativity are not always conscious processes. The connections our brains draw between pieces of information are only rarely rational. Most of it is pure gibberish. So when just the right pieces do happen to come together at a time when we're not concentrating on the problem it can really take us by surprise.
Lost my creativity i had thought of three quantum mechanics ideas Biocentric universe, parallel universes and the shape of the universe at the age of around 11 and they were right about 99% then i just stopped trying cause i thought they were just ideas.
Geniuses are geniuses because they have abilities that most regular people do not have. Sorry to break it to you but that's the way it is. Our creativity IS limited by such things as intelligence. If you have a higher vocabulary, you have a greater range of what thoughts you can think, and a greater ability to express what you are thinking. Creativity is limited by vocabulary, artistic ability, and general scientific knowledge of how things work.
@Eralen00 I disagree about having a higher vocabulary and the deeper range at which you can think. I feel that the concepts are already there. Then the vocabulary comes in. Such was the case with me and psychology. I had already been analyzing people's minds and trying to classify them as a youth; catagorizing but not labeling, and by ninth grade I had a hard time learning Freud and the like because I had my own theories that often subtly clashed with theirs.
That's what I tap into when I write my lyrics. Or especially when I freestyle, but when I write too. I'm not that smart, it's God. Or atleast what I consider God to be, the body of Christ.
@adrastea99 yeah same concept, that's really what most religions are talking about when they talk about God. That's what Jesus and other prophets tapped into. The Body of Christ is really the collective conciousness, if that makes any sense to you. Regardless religion or lack of religion, our higher selves.
I absolutely get this! Agree 100%. I always give God the credit for placing moments or segments of seemingly profound insight/wisdom in my mind. Doesn't occur often but when it does I know it isn't from me. Am always gratefully amazed. Probably whats kept me alive in many cases.
btw - anyone else getting spammed by some guy who has account names followed by several digits, who lists himself as living in various countries, and never replies to messages or comments?
I want to have his IP blocked. How do you report a user to youtube who is spamming in the form of repeated unsolicited messages, even after you tell him to go away (which violates stalking laws in the US, btw).
I throw up in my mouth a little when I hear people say things like, "double your brain power!", as if such a thing is remotely defined, quantified, or measurable? What the fuck is 'brain power' supposed to mean?
Buttcrack obama is doing this to the entire population of idiot leftists in America. We keep breeding inferior people and then wonder why the society as a whole is declining,GIGO ever hear of that? Now be a good little conformist and drink your corn syrup and do as the big nigger says! Disturbing!
Beautiful. How fascinating it is, the web of being interconnected. Learn to grasp the idea that we are all one (unconditional love), and the fourth density will welcome you into the new age.
Indeed, Edison is named, but of all people... Tesla is being left out?
Something is wrong here.

@zetigeist no one gives a fuck about that push-over. He left Edison steal his ideas. Such a fucking idiot, realistically. Edison is the TRUE Winner in life.
Mu5clehead 1 year ago
@Mu5clehead Lets think on this for a moment shall we; AC power transmission, or the light bulb, I'll take AC for $500. Edison was a great inventor (with the aid of several hundred Menlo Park scientists), but Tesla was a visionary, he was a one man think tank, to Edison's iterative process. Stay in the gym dude.

@Eralen00 con't
Eralen00 1 year ago
@Eralen00 We are ALL potential geniuses; at least more than are actually expressed, or should I say repressed...
MrDuffy81 1 year ago
@MrDuffy81 I posted this before I even started the video, and I hear, now, the video saying the same thing! LOL
MrDuffy81 1 year ago
@Eralen00 I disagree about having a higher vocabulary and the deeper range at which you can think. I feel that the concepts are already there. Then the vocabulary comes in. Such was the case with me and psychology. I had already been analyzing people's minds and trying to classify them as a youth; catagorizing but not labeling, and by ninth grade I had a hard time learning Freud and the like because I had my own theories that often subtly clashed with theirs.
MrDuffy81 1 year ago
Most people go through peer review and scientifically prove their claims before they do this sort of thing. Your red flags should be up.

That's what I tap into when I write my lyrics. Or especially when I freestyle, but when I write too. I'm not that smart, it's God. Or atleast what I consider God to be, the body of Christ.

Psychologists would call it your unconscious mind
You're very lucky you know. There are people out there who are completely cut off from this
adrastea99 1 year ago

So fucking stupid.
