  • Indeed, Edison is named, but of all people... Tesla is being left out?

    Something is wrong here.

  • Short version: some people are very smart. What a load.

  • Victory is Mine!

  • Everyday I'm stumblin'

  • hes wrong about edison everything great he did came from tesla

  • For the most part I agree with the ideas in this video, but I have a strong skill-based thinking, as opposed to a talent-based one. There is no genius. There are people who happened to get the right training at the right time, and find the fascination to go get more, and make a good obsession of it.

Read "Talent is Overrated" and "Mindsets" to see what I'm talking about, with actual examples in years/hours of training.

Focusing the mind is good, believing in skill-less genius results is not.

  • The parts about Mozart writing stuff note-perfect the first time is a flat-out lie.

He was trained by his dad in piano since the age of 3. The earlier pieces he wrote were for the most part copy/paste and rearranging of other composers, just like painters start out by doing copies at first.

By the time he started writing his own stuff he had well over 10 years of full-time training.

Same for Tiger Woods, he didn't just wake up pro golfer one day, he trained since before he could even speak.

  • @calin4thewin no actualy when he was 3 heis dad dident teach him anything he just went to the piano hit a few keys then he made ba ba black sheep just by hitting a few keys

  • @ATGgames Did you google or inform yourself at all about this subject?

At least read a wikipedia page, but check more sources for reliability. Took A LOT of time spent at the piano, to get anywhere. Whether it's from age 3 to 4, or from 23 to 24, a year of studying / playing with / figuring out a piano, is still a year.

Nobody just gets born knowing an instrument or activity from day one, it is a myth.

  • Cool story bro. You're talking about the spirit man...and when you take action that is your faith at work.

  • These doubling your brain power videos have changed my life. I've been following what I've learned in this... Having a clear vision of what I want with my life, having complete faith that I can do it, and listen to my mind. Listen to what it tells me, and act on it the moment it tells me. My life has been supremely easier, it has even made me more successful in pulling girls. I put faith in myself now and every girl I talk to is a positive experience when before I didn't know how to say hi.

  • this is beyond supremely magnificent. mega thanks PE.

  • This video is awesome, thanks pureducation

  • Edison was a hack and parasite living off of others work.

    The original "job creator".

  • I love Brian Tracy... if I'm not mistaken, he is the speaker on this video.

  • Can anyone provide references for this video or any way to legitimize these statements other than anecdotal examples?

  • Wish that Tesla was the person in the examples, as that man's the reason we are where we are, and if it were up to him we would be where we wish we were. Truly a man born ahead of his time, even ahead of our time.

  • @sim4atata we are all born the same, he choose to ignore the life we think is life and choose to go beyond ignore the things we do day to day. basically there are few who scarfic the life style to learn and understand things that most humans wont do to fear.

repect those ppl because they help u understand and advance.

  • Stop watching CNN and MSNBC works also.

  • @coastal541 Don't forget Faux news.

  • BEAUTIFUL.

  • i really like this video good job

  • i've tapped into it. without drugs

  • I emphatically agree

  • Still, when parents DON'T provide guidance, don't we end up with a brood of jersey shorians, kardashians, and the other trogladytes we see in our unprincipled, overly self-esteemed, violence celebrating culture? What can we DO?

  • Wtf is this.. You could just use a blank bluescreen and talk instead of having random video in background not in sync..

Stupid.. Anyways, gonna continue to LISTEN.

  • @menjavlafitta ok first off a blue screen would be kinda boring dont u think i kinda like it. but i get what u mean music is good though dont u think

  • @menjavlafitta LOL! I was thinking the same thing!

  • oh crap! I thought this was a scientific religion!

  • this video would be more powerful if the visuals were citations/references rather than random images..

  • @PureEducation This is Brain Tracy! His Genius has brought this knowledge to light! This knowledge is great; valuable beyond belief. Has he been given credit for these videos that his voice are in?

  • In a perfect world, the expansion of intellectual creativity would continually branch outward. However, because we are limited by our physical 3rd dimensional bodies, our contrivances and schemes invariably begin to run parallel to our futureward existence, steering its unrefined wants. Discipline is the inevitable requirement of our physical universe, so people PLEASE!

Our parents had rules for a reason

  • Study hypnosis to better understand the points in these four videos.

  • no thanks, i have a rare learning disability that while overwhelming at times, allows me to multitask 8 complex tasks at once resulting in an above average result on each, 13 tasks to result in average, and 15 to result just below average. i have been tested for years but finally learned it's more of a benefit than a burden

  • watching this to help me pass me exams tmr XD, it better work! haha

  • Pseudoscience

  • You might've thought this was actually scientific...

    NOPE, Chuck Testa

  • This sounds like Dr. Bruce Lipton.

  • You have the right to believe, so believe what you will.

And if you never try ,you will never know.

And if you know and never try, then how do you know you know.

So whatever's your believe, you still have to try, so you know that you know ,and in knowing receive greater understanding.

    Charles Toh

  • jesus gave me the brain so i can go to church and mindlessly worship him

  • To hell with Edison! Tesla is my G!

  • It would be nice if you gave reference to the speaker in your description. For those who would like to know, his name is Brian Tracy, an excellent motivational speaker and sales professional.

  • that skull just did a barrel roll

  • No scientific evidence sopports this. Its some creationism propaganda bullshit

  • @INMATE2468

You may well be right, however every human is unique and we dont know enough about conciousness and reality to say that you are right for certain, an open mind is of paramount importance

  • Wow, I should've known better than to expect some real science out of this. Can anyone say... pseudo?

  • This video is nothing but pseudoscience bullshit. WTF.

  • 20 people halved their brains performance

  • Why is the internet so obsessed with Tesla? It's pathetic... the guy didn't do much (yeah I know I'll get attacked now) Free energy would have never worked... anyone with an education would know that... So before you attack me for speaking against your beloved "tesla" go learn some basic principles of energy and educate yourselves. Then come at me with facts, not attacks. Please.

  • @orangegold1 tesla owns,you suck balls

    nuff said.

  • Lol @ Edison. "Greatest inventor of modern age"? Who's greatest lasting achievement is the batteries for my remote. Tesla >> Edison.

  • science has shown evidence that we may be connected to other people via the Earths magnetic field, so it is scientifically possible that we may be able to access creativity of others if we develop our mind to do so, but this video does not give nearly enough credit to education and our brain's elastic neural network...there is a thin line between science and pseudo-science. and yes Tesla could one up Edison any day.

  • @HolyReaperX01 incorrect. The earths magnetic field, nor any other magnetic field has ever been shown to link consciousness together. This is absolutely absurd. As is the idea of a "superconsciousness" that we tap into, that is floating around in the air. This feeling of ideas popping into our heads, perfect words flowing without effort is not the result of tapping into some supermind. The brain is constantly working, subconsciously without conscious effort and that is the reason for this.

  • anybody knows the title of music in the first part of the video....from 2:20...?

  • compared to Tesla, Edison is nothing.

  • is this Brian Tracy speaking?

  • When I clicked on this video, I didn't see any biological references or any type of real science. This is nothing more than pseudoscience based on speculation. I do not understand how you people can believe in something based simple on chance and speculation. Although I agree with the title in itself because there are ways to train your mind to increase the understanding of your perceptions there is no real evidence that our brains work beyond what we already have developed them to work as.

  • @JosephFiero thank you.

  • Bullshit

  • Edison would have been nothing without Tesla.

  • Somewhat... Its like saying Bill Gates is nothing without Steve Jobs. Bill Gates is great onto himself and would have succeeded without Steve. Without Steve's insight we would still be progressing with computers but at a slower pace. Likewise, Edison was a great man with competition and insight like Tesla just made him push his engineers harder. Tesla unfortunately in all his genius was not a good marketer. I agree Tesla was a great man that was overshadowed by Edison and others.

  • @melpuzon Where can I get a Tesla?

  • PREACHER

  • i am disappointed as the preview is not COMPLETE. it stops at only at 1:03 when the full duration is 10:18 time. . why is this so ?

  • some call it super conscious mind others call it "spirit " .

  • There is nothing mysteries about receiving a call from a person who you happen to be thinking of. in the sense that you do it all the time without receiving any calls.

  • LSD is the way to get immense brainpower, it lets you use more of your brain

  • @cerelilqt inhaling gas makes you really happy as well

  • @blackzepplin Not talking about using chemicals to induce happiness, I'm talking about using them to open new synapses allowing you to use more of your brain.

  • @cerelilqt I was thinking the same ... :)

  • Picasso said "every child is born an artist, what's hard is to remain an artist as one grows up".

Fuck superconscious mumbo jumbo, i agree that we are all able to be creative and our brains can do amazing things and are very well equiped. However, it is not because we are tapping into some bullshit ether crap, the reason why when we hit upon the answer for something we are often correct is because our brains are so well equiped.

  • @iosuVakerizzo

.. And there are plenty of times when people have those eureka moments and when they go and try it out it doesn't work, but we tend to forget the misses and overemphasize the hits. Same thing happens during a lot of magic tricks. This guy is fooling himself, also he is incredibly patronizing.

Be creative, just don't buy into the mumbo jumbo part of it. The capacity is in you, not on some universa consciousness outside you.

  • The audio is from a seminar by Brian Tracey. I remember his voice and his message.

  • sometimes reaching for the sky we forget were we stand, we should reach for the sky but it should be a voyage well planned, and not just jump up and hope for the best, its better to elevate our knowledge and study what we see from that hight than prophesize what could/might be possible, if u feel that lucky go to a casino for instant prize

  • mozart wrote them in his mind first, then on paper.

  • Screw edison,I hope he dies in a horrible model t ford accident or wait.....oh yeah....ah well, could someone piss on his grave please, its a bit too far away for me!!

  • What show are the clips at 9:25 onward from???

  • @GsBBoyDan TV Show called Human Body: Pushing the Limits

  • so why isn't the narrator out saving the world with his genious if he knows what he's takling about?

  • Comment removed

  • I don't know if its relatable to this but once when i was in the 8th grade our math teacher was giving us problems as a class to work out on the overhead projector. I got the concept of what we were doing but i was fading in and out lol. When she wrote down another problem, it wasn't even up there a full 5 seconds and i said to myself "33" she then looked at me as if she heard me, but said nothing 5 minutes of the class working it out and it turned out i was right. I know sounds crazy

  • is this brian tracy? and if not, who is it?

  • Kind of surprised that when naming all the artists, and inventors, Nikola Tesla wasn't mentioned.

  • We have the brain to discover this inner power but we dont know how to use it?

    Learning is everything I guess.

  • 4:01 Holy shit! This just happened to me a few days ago, in fact this had happened to me quite a few times before. And I always shrugged it off as "Eh, its just a coincidence"

  • I discovered it by takeing drugs..drugs are good...if you are not STUPID!...take them 1 time a day and in big quantities.I was wondering...why am I living..I am good for nothing tough I knew I had a briliant mind.I heard Einstein "imagination is everything".I knew I was briliant but wasted it.I searched for years inside me...and I can feel good when I am advanceing.I almost all day live in my world with my highier self and I am asking God and he responds my praiers always!

  • When I was really little, I imagined a device that I could watch movies on. Just a simple device, easy to use. I imagined I'd watch movies in bed with this little handheld screen. We have an iPod. It's nearly exactly what I imagined. This was a time where DVDs were relatively expensive and quite new. Blows my mind.

  • everyone knows tesla was the real inventor and edison was just some greedy american wannabe inventor trying to steal his ideas

  • What an over-simplification of perception. This series basically says there is no Bell curve? Uhh huh. Another reductionist view of man, and his no-one-is-special attitude to uphold Darwinian theory. This must be the drivel Steve Martin spoke of.

  • Telsa wanted to give the world free electricity......but JP Morgan dropped him because this would not make him a profit. Telsa was a genius.

  • @JordanPAT tesla is the idol i have been following since i first found out about him, a man of few words but a million thoughts.

  • @JordanPAT *Tesla

  • @JordanPAT It's really sad how cash is the goal of so many people the value itself we give to it destroys us all , burn the money melt the gold and love :)

  • @JordanPAT WHO THE EFF IS TELSA??

  • @itsreal1971

    Google is your friend.

  • Who is speaking in this video?

  • @BigDM22 Brian Tracy

  • 6:18

they mention thomas edison but left out nikola tesla...

  • @zetigeist no one gives a fuck about that push-over. He left Edison steal his ideas. Such a fucking idiot, realistically. Edison is the TRUE Winner in life.

  • @Mu5clehead Lets think on this for a moment shall we; AC power transmission, or the light bulb, I'll take AC for $500. Edison was a great inventor (with the aid of several hundred Menlo Park scientists), but Tesla was a visionary, he was a one man think tank, to Edison's iterative process. Stay in the gym dude.

  • i thought they are gonna tell me to get a dual core cpu and more ram...

  • like doc brown who fell and hit his head in the bathroom trying to hang a clock then had an image of the flux compensator witch is wat makes time travel possible

  • If you're ever thinking of someone just before they telephone, don't get too excited. You don't have telepathy and you haven't tapped into a collective consciousness. What you have done is made the very rational prediction that someone you know might call. When the prediction and the event co-occur it can seem pretty weird (or down right spooky), even to someone who is actively aware of the pitfalls of post hoc rationalization. But nothing unusual has happened.

  • We've all experienced epiphanies in our lives. It's quite common. But it doesn't occur because we've tapped into a "superconscious" mind. It occurs because imagination and creativity are not always conscious processes. The connections our brains draw between pieces of information are only rarely rational. Most of it is pure gibberish. So when just the right pieces do happen to come together at a time when we're not concentrating on the problem it can really take us by surprise.

  • Wow i watched the first few minutes and got so excited. What a shame, so disapointing.

  • @MrMacSunshine That's because you don't know what you are looking at. You are literally blind. Your mind is closed. Awaken.

  • I am disappoint.

  • @jaberwocky6669 why?

  • this is a pile of bullshit.

  • this should probably be called "how to waste 35 minutes"

  • I was with it and following it until the "higher consciousness" thing came up. I am disappoint.

  • Lost my creativity i had thought of three quantum mechanics ideas Biocentric universe, parallel universes and the shape of the universe at the age of around 11 and they were right about 99% then i just stopped trying cause i thought they were just ideas.

  • @Eralen00 con't

Geniuses are geniuses because they have abilities that most regular people do not have. Sorry to break it to you but that's the way it is. Our creativity IS limited by such things as intelligence. If you have a higher vocabulary, you have a greater range of what thoughts you can think, and a greater ability to express what you are thinking. Creativity is limited by vocabulary, artistic ability, and general scientific knowledge of how things work.

  • @Eralen00 We are ALL potential geniuses; at least more than are actually expressed, or should I say repressed...

  • @MrDuffy81 I posted this before I even started the video, and I hear, now, the video saying the same thing! LOL

  • @Eralen00 I disagree about having a higher vocabulary and the deeper range at which you can think. I feel that the concepts are already there. Then the vocabulary comes in. Such was the case with me and psychology. I had already been analyzing people's minds and trying to classify them as a youth; catagorizing but not labeling, and by ninth grade I had a hard time learning Freud and the like because I had my own theories that often subtly clashed with theirs.

  • Most people go through peer review and scientifically prove their claims before they do this sort of thing. Your red flags should be up.

  • dude! vietnam was on 0:58!

  • 5 *

  • bullshit edison was a liar and stole his inventions

  • gr8 *****

  • That's what I tap into when I write my lyrics. Or especially when I freestyle, but when I write too. I'm not that smart, it's God. Or atleast what I consider God to be, the body of Christ.

  • Psychologists would call it your unconscious mind

You're very lucky you know. There are people out there who are completely cut off from this

  • @adrastea99 yeah same concept, that's really what most religions are talking about when they talk about God. That's what Jesus and other prophets tapped into. The Body of Christ is really the collective conciousness, if that makes any sense to you. Regardless religion or lack of religion, our higher selves.

  • ....... Turning off the TV helps also.

  • What an excellent upload!!

    Very inspirational...!

    Thx!

  • very good video

    great stuff

  • Big thank`s!!!! Interesting video!!!

  • Very good video.

  • awsome vid : D

  • Very good video.

  • Awesome video

  • Well, I wouldn't give Edison so much creadit. Tesla was much much Greater.

  • Well how is it that this video actually tells the truth?

  • Well how is it that this video actually tells the truth?

  • BM Beatz

  • btw - anyone else getting spammed by some guy who has account names followed by several digits, who lists himself as living in various countries, and never replies to messages or comments?

I want to have his IP blocked. How do you report a user to youtube who is spamming in the form of repeated unsolicited messages, even after you tell him to go away (which violates stalking laws in the US, btw).

  • I throw up in my mouth a little when I hear people say things like, "double your brain power!", as if such a thing is remotely defined, quantified, or measurable? What the fuck is 'brain power' supposed to mean?

    So fucking stupid.

  • Nice video

  • geman pls :o

  • Higher Consciousnesses?

Sounds a bit like the New Age teachings.

  • My friend and I were talking about hail once, well I brought it up. Then it hailed. Horribly

  • Amazing

  • Video and audio don't match up in the least. but still kewl :D

  • Buttcrack obama is doing this to the entire population of idiot leftists in America. We keep breeding inferior people and then wonder why the society as a whole is declining,GIGO ever hear of that? Now be a good little conformist and drink your corn syrup and do as the big nigger says! Disturbing!

  • cool 5****

  • holy shi... that happened to me!!! i once imagined a chai (super awesome of course) then 5 weeks later, i saw it in a furniture store!!! :O

  • Beautiful. How fascinating it is, the web of being interconnected. Learn to grasp the idea that we are all one (unconditional love), and the fourth density will welcome you into the new age.

  • You no I need it . Thanks 5*

  • 5:05 Man turns OFF monitor.

  • edison is a joke compared to nicola tesla... it was said he had constant visual hallucinations of inventions

  • Slade, compared to either one of those guys you are about as bright as a 15 watt bulb.

  • @slade420 Einstein said that Tesla was the most briliant scientist ever. (At least, in our span of the history of the planet)

    Peace

  • @slade420 it was also said he had a huge cock due to hes inventions!

  • @slade420 YES

YOU ARE MY NEW BEST FRIEND!!

  • @slade420 he ripped Tesla's ideas off, pffff

  • @slade420 Yet Edison raped lil Tesla

  • @Mu5clehead Wrong. We live with Tesla's legacy, and read about Edison, big difference my man.

  • @Mu5clehead sound like u mad lil american.u mad? yea u mad.

  • @metlahead6

    I'm proudly Russian, broski! :)

You misinterpreted my nationality, so what makes you think you interpreted my mood correctly.

  • @slade420 It's a shame Edison usually rings more of a bell than Telsa. :(

  • @slade420 not to mention Tesla rarely made up blueprints or plans because he could remember everything perfectly
