Noah was a drunk and slept with his own daughter. How could Noah possibly have favor with the Lord? If you continue to read the chapter, it is evident that Noah and his family were the only humans whose blood had not been corrupted. They had pure, human DNA. God killed off the corrupt bloodlines.

As a christian I have never been taught to hate other religions. I have never seen Catholics and Protestants hating each other, or Mormons disliking Jews, and even if it was this way, its not about religion, but the person itself, because non of those religious groups preach that you have to hate anybody in this world. @Mature I know. There is no New Age radio station where I live. It's just the same pop over and over again. The radio waves are saturated with the stuff. Christianity doesn't preach the creation of a gap between people of different beliefs, nor does Islam, or Hinduism, or any other religion, unless you get to extremism. Religion is all about love, and love is what makes us be together.

If I remember correctly deutronomy 13 is the chapter where Cainanites gets judgement for their raging sinful nature whereas God gave them many chances to repent. Now if someone preforms evil, and you remove that evil. Is that an act of evil? Nope,, and it still does not tell you to go on a crusade. =) God passes judgement not you.

1) That was an instruction ONLY applying to the people of Israel, a group of people that have only been slaves or even wiped out if not for God's miracles. They were to be a special example to the world of what could happen if an entire nation followed God's principles. All had agreed to live by God's laws. So, this is not even slightly a command to go on a crusade against other nations, etc. and kill all unbelievers. Not even remotely true.

As a christian I have never been taught to hate other religions. I have been taught to speak out when my own faith does something wrong and to hold people accountable for their actions regardless of faith. I have always had people of different demoninations as friends and never thought anything of it. I do not see Muslims doing this. They do not speak out against radical islamists giving the impression that they support them. Muslims do not have tolerance of other religions. Re; Infidels.

@Mature I know. There is no New Age radio station where I live. It's just the same pop over and over again. The radio waves are saturated with the stuff. Also the statement "Religion divides people" isn't right. Christianity doesn't preach the creation of a gap between people of different beliefs, nor does Islam, or Hinduism, or any other religion, unless you get to extremism. Religion is all about love, and love is what makes us be together.

First of all the quotes you just brought were the rules/laws of the world in which every society lived at that time. Killing of a human was happening in a very easy terms and rules in the Old Testiment were written in order for people to survive those bloody times. You shouldn't apply those laws about killing to nowadays world, as there is New Testiment for it, which is meant to be our guide A.D.

If I remember correctly deutronomy 13 is the chapter where Cainanites gets judgement for their raging sinful nature whereas God gave them many chances to repent. Now if someone preforms evil, and you remove that evil. Is that an act of evil? Nope,, and it still does not tell you to go on a crusade. =) God passes judgement not you.

1) That was an instruction ONLY applying to the people of Israel, a group of people that have only been slaves or even wiped out if not for God's miracles. They were to be a special example to the world of what could happen if an entire nation followed God's principles. All had agreed to live by God's laws. So, this is not even slightly a command to go on a crusade against other nations, etc. and kill all unbelievers. Not even remotely true.

And since Israel had just been slaves, they were too immature to take anything but severe punishments seriously. They would have just laughed at them (and even with the severe punishment threats they still often disobeyed, which shows how immature and stubborn they were). This is NOT God's ideal way to deal with people...but their immaturity and stubborness required this approach.
