OLD Sepultura? Are you sure? Much closer to recent Sepultura in my opinion, I don't know, it seems like this influenced Demon Hunter quite a lot. It has that groove to it, and the vocals are very similar.
Roots would fall under the category of new Sepultura, old Sepultura was Morbid Visions, Schizophrenia, Beneath the Remains, and Arise was in between the 2 eras. Roots, Chaos A.D, and whatever that most recent one was called are the new ones, Arise is my favorite album though.
Influences? Without these guys, we wouldn't have metalcore as we know it. They've been around since the early nineties. This song came out in 2003. Look up "Reject" by LS. It came out in 1997. They were WAY ahead of their time.
Demon Hunter we're most likely influenced by Living Sacrifice! LS have been around since the 80's, so it's more likely that Demon Hunter sound like them!
No man this sounds like 4x heavier than Demon hunter.I don't like that DH has gotten lighter.Their old stuff sounded awesome but it lost its sound(Im not saying Storm the Gates of hell isn't heavy just not as heavy as their older stuff, which in my opinion sucks balls)
Dude grow up! I blocked you for a reason ie. your line of questioning was to mock not because your looking for answers. But none the less i still answered your questions, they may not be answers that your willing to accept but they are answers all the same.
and up there with The Crucified (my personal favorite)....if you've never heard 'pillars of humanity', you're missing out. I think it's the best Christian metal album ever- it came out in '91(?)
yeah, dude, you seem to have the same view about LS, Believer, & 7th Angel as I do, so I KNOW you'd LOVE 'pillars..' by The Crucified. It's hard and thrashy with some killer grooves, amazing drumming, and very good, intelligent lyrics about life and faith in this screwed-up world. I think they only put out 2 albums; and 'pillars of humanity' is their 2nd and last.... 5 stars! :v)

it has metalcore influences obviously, but the song really reminds me of the times of the roots album
but that's just my opinion i guess =P

No offence but metalcore kinda sucks

I would really like to know why people think that.

their first album came out in '89 man, so no one can argue that they haven't had a huge influence on the whole industry.

his guy blocked me but he remains to put comments here.
I am reading bible and giving you examples but all you do is delete the comments I place and never give a response to my arguments.
And you call me blind? You are the one who uses a old gore book with more transtalions that you can count to rule his life,
