@ 11Anti11, thanks for your comment. the pmers players in the video should get a helluva lot more credit than they get, they stuck at it and didn't moan or bitch they just played :) they are top players in their own right but garpy was a class above.

i only wish that i was good enough to play AG :p

The worst part is, i still play with lynx these days. And he absolutely whops my ass in warsow, ut3 and the likes. Just to give you an indication of how good garpy actually is.

@dekufru how do they bunny hop like that in hl? i know garpy plays quake professionally. But quake don't require as much multi-task as this. Does he use 3D sound to know exact location of enemy? Bhop in hl is ridiculous, harder than cs, esp after the gauss jump where he can continue jumping but at speed of light.

@ youziness - there is a bhop script that lots of people use to help them bhop. It isn't cheating but some clan's/servers will ban you for it. Bhopping in HL just take's patience, it took my son an hour but it took me longer :/ Sadly i wasn't around in Garpy's day but there were players that would use A3D sound, it's banned now.

I'll send you a link that will show the movement that you need 2 replicate in order to bhop, also i recommend downloading/install AG 6.6 create ur own server 2 practise

@dekufru thanks for your help. I put the cmds into my config.cfg and use scroll to jump but cannot increase speed like what i've done for cs 1.1. HL jumping could be different from cs. Where to get the bhop script? You said only some servers ban it but not Steam's vac right? Yeah i am quite sure garpy use A3D the way he play stalkyard, in his days its not banned.

@youziness your welcome i'm always glad to help. Steam's VAC doesn't ban the bhop, but some server admins don't allow it - which is their choice and rightfully so - it is their server after all and thus their rules :)

The bhop script is in the message that i sent you, i'll resend just the script which you must place in your userconfig.cfg and save. I use the same script and it is safe to use it.

Even if u have the bhop script it won't automatically make u bhop - u have to learn the technique.

I'm sure i've read before that garpy didn't use crosshairs, but this match was before my time unfortunately. Hopefully some one else can say for definite.

in retrospect, I'm not sure why I even asked if he did or did not use crosshairs - when you play enough to be as good as garpy is, you don't need crosshairs... that's for sure. I was never great at this game, maybe a little better than average, but nothing special, and I could've gotten used to playing without crosshairs.

he doesn't quite have the best movement in HL/AG, there have been better, but he sure can aim. inarguably one of the best half-life players in the history of the game.

Sound. HL could use a hardware accelerated sound system called A3D by Aureal Semiconductor. Unfortunately they are no longer around, as I believe Creative tried to sue them. Creative lost but it cost enough to put Aureal out of business. Sad, because the technology was awesome.

The crosshairs can be turned off, the rpg trail is a part of the game, and the gauss is able to kill players through walls etc. I've never heard of an aimbot for the gauss or the rpg. Aimbot? lol, there are some brilliant players out there.

your aim is nothing special when you're using aimbot.

the rocket smoke chase and Gauss shot are obvious sign. Not to mention you got no crosshair.

well if u never played HL the comments sounds stupid, in HL rocket chase red dot and u can kindo loop it if u wish. With gauss u can shoot people through walls. called wallgauss. Garpy was the best individual player in HL. cheers
