How do you pick the hole for the mouth? I can make the bowl and rush but the only way i know how to make the mouthpiece is shock it in cold water and snap it for a hole! Really frustrating. I cant pick a hole for the life of me.

Iv been really wanting to learn to glass blow. I was wondering, if I had just a normal blow torch from a hardware store, would that be hot enough to shape glass? I will try it out here soon when I get paid and get the glass tubes. Check out my videos and it'll show you if it worked or not. Should be in about a week or so.

@mistatrenewsome I started out with a map gas torch from home depot and just worked my way up from there. You can deffenitely get the feel for shaping glass with a small plumbers torch but those torches burn a dirty flame and its hard to control sometimes.....not to say it cant be done. But yes, a plumbers torch is good for begginners.
