Wow, memories!!! I used to play this when I was only about 10 years old (as a girl with two older brothers..... :-)). You had to answer questions to start the game, so they could tell you were over 18. Of course it was easy to cheat. I don't remember the combination, but you had to push 'ctrl-something' and you were in the game. My english wasn't great back then, but good enough to type all the right things. I still recognize the tunes, it's great!

I almost completed Space Quest, although it took me about 3 years.

Make sure it's the orginal EGA AGI version and not the VGA SCI remake as Scumm has no SCI support yet, then make sure you have the right files just check Scumm's website they have a listing of what file are needed for each game, if thats all good and your still having problems try making sure you open the directory proper when adding the game to the menu

If I remember correctly Sierra used to publish these little guidebooks or cheatbooks which you used red cellophane to decipher the words on the page to read either hints or answers. I remember using one when I got stuck on one of the Kings Quest games.
