excuse the trouble I could tell how to install the daisy that you say . and compiled only once in gnome and was the atlantis cube but I can not remember how I did not expect to have to do anything . and pardon my English is not fluent ... I hope you understand me ...

After an update to Qt 4.6, KDE 4.3.2. effects doesn't work for me anymore. Have to use Compiz 0.8.5 instead.

KDE 4.3 wasn't built on Qt 4.6, so this doesn't come as a surprise, really.

Those effects are really smooth indeed. I always thought that Nvidia is a better choice on Linux, but the older ATI cards supported by the opensource drivers do perform even better than newer Nvidia cards on KDE :)

kDE 4.3 seems pretty good, dammit i wont be able to to use it, slackware only releases stable packages only, am stuck with 4.2

I'm wondering why every KDE video has the same Plasma theme and even default wallpaper. I have set up my own colors and different Plasma theme for my desktop as well as self-compiled plasmoids. Unlike GeNOME, KDE can be customized in almost every possible aspect.

i love KDE because its more user friendly and I will always pick it over GNOME. but GNOME can also be customized in every aspect. if not more then KDE.

@Reloaded211 Gnome can be modified in any way you want. I take gnome and customize everything. I barely use one gnome bar and that's it the rest is modified. It's stable and fast, every time I try KDE 4, it's slows to a crawl with no applications running, it freezes and crashes.

KDE will always be with us to give us the chuckles and laffs but when I want to sort some files out or check my POP email I'll stick with GeNOME.

Sort files ? Dolphin > Nautilus.

Check your POP email ? What does that have to do with your desktop environment ? Use whatever the hell email client you like, or just use webmail...

i would love to run 4.3 but the beast (pentium3 laptop 256 ram and 8mb gfx) cant run it so im downgrading to 3.5.10 for the momment, nice desktop tho.
