@HorseGiirl98 we do the same in Germany and before you can do these things you have to build a strong bond with you horse then it will follow you. It´s not a dressage....most people have only a agreement with their horses or nothing . In this case the horse feels no reason to play with his owner.

I love how your horses interact with you, not just following commands but really having fun in jumping and running around with you. I mainly train dressage at liberty, but videos like yours stimulate me to do more with the props, tyres and poles we have lying around. Thanks for the inspiration!

this horse is calm but exuberant and having a ball. what a great team that such confidence is inspired in this animal like this from his owner. A few so called great Olympians and dressage riders could learn alot from this guy. they could only dream of the partnesrhip these two have. Imagine how great modern dressage could be if they had it rather than the messed up crap they are serving up these days.

In my oppinion every rider should learn to do that together with his/her horse before even thinking about getting invested in any horse sport together. THIS could really forge the trust between rider and horse without the pressure of winning prises.

This really shows how curious horses are and how they do indeed love to figure things out. There is so much more to horses than follow simple commands, jump hurdles or dressage. They ARE smart and can tackle surprising challenges.

I love it! Just like dog agility but with a horse, great idea! It's given me all kinds of ideas of things to do with my pony :)

I'd also like to know what kind of reinforcement/treats the trainer uses.. I guess it's just patience and training.

@MsPeperonata: my pony also follows me, as well as another shetland pony I often take care of, and i have never used any kind of join up techniques.

I think the trainer must have studied Monty Roberts's "join-up" training with the horse to make him love to follow like that? You can see how he love it especially with that little buck halfway through. Very good getting him to go in the tunnel, most horses would hate that! But I would like to see if he completed the weaving/bending poles part correctly, as this was cut!

Hahaha, I love how it tosses its head and prances after completing some obstacles. It's clearly having lots of fun! XD Just like a course-running dog. That's neat. Something new without reins or bits or whips. I like it!

That is pretty doggone good! My goal is to be riding bridleless by the end of this year! Horse agility is a long ways off but would be great for when riding is a thing of the past. However, running might be a thing of the past too!  :-)
