After having been to see gorillas in person in Rwanda, seeing this video breaks my heart. No matter how 'cute' it is, this gorilla is VERY lonely. She needed to live in her GORILLA FAMILY. Koko most likely was one of those gorillas whose parents were killed right in front of them, and she too could have died if it weren't for those people to give her a home.

Why not learn to appreciate the actions that people do for animals? Not every captive animal is suffering; nor wrong.

If you're saving a life, then I think it's DEFINITELY worth it.

I learned about how a gorilla was taught certain words, like parts of the body and objects like "apple" and "ring." when he saw a bracelet, he referred to it as a "wrist ring." which means he knew what the words meant, rather than just associating a word with an object. it's all very very cool.
