  • So cute!

  • I've just raised 4 chimney swifts from babies. You feed them the following: half a cup kitten pellets dissolved in hot water till mushy; one hardboiled egg, remove the yolk; two tablespoons pureed apple sauce (like the babyfood kind) then mash the egg, mix it with the mushy kitten food and the applesauce and strain it all through a sieve a couple of times. Use a dropper / 1ml syringe to feed the swift.

  • PLEASE, >I need to know what kind of food these nice birds eat. I can't get insects so i'm feeding them with water mixed with cat food. What's the food in your video?

Please reply soon, my 4 birds i found will thank you !

  • You can give them simply cow flesh (meat), mixed with some water (consider that their parents don't give'em water with a glass, they bring'em water inside the food itself), but if you use a syringe (eithout the terminal sting, of course!!) you can give'em even some water.

Alternate it with a bit of cooked egg, it will be sufficient. I reccomend you the dose: 3-4 small sphere of flesh for bird, and some water each time, 4-5 times per day!
