  • Thank you... Nicely done!

  • Thanx god for ppl like you, i had lost faith in the human race for awhile.

  • Thanks this was very inspiring and so true. Happy Easter to you too!

  • First remove comments then remove free speech and you'll get closer to socialism than ever before!

  • This country was founded by religious zealots and will always be run by zealots. there are too many regilanauts to ever make this a free land. As an atheist, I will never see anyone i believe to be a good candidate. Shame..really, religion has gotten us as far as 2000 years of battle. And yet no one wants to try reason and responsibility. And yet I'm the asshole?

  • typical sheeple, wanna be fake patriot

  • Black people for some reason think there not Americans.... Standing up and clapping to a fool saying Americans are chickens and god damn america. Are they that stupid?Tthey dont realize there americans too....

  • @andrewjpx They are Americans by way of slavery, facts beat opinion.

  • Perhaps one of the most tragic ironies of history - the African American embrace of Christianity; a type of mass Stockholm Syndrome:

"Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. " (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)

  • Even though I agree with a lot of what Pastor Wright had to say, I must say he was very untactful and Obama did what he had to to get the win. People like Rev. Wright are unaware of timing and position. Because Obama did ask of him his blessing to run for the oval office, he should have had better foresight. Until the mindset of the mass White ruling class has changed you have to continue to play their game. Until the whole board is no longer on their table you have to play their game.

  • To play along in their game is to ignore justice. Something too many people are doing.

  • Manila's ideal candidate was Dennis Kucinich. The question we should be asking ourselves, how do we push our Democrats to be more like Dennis Kucinich. Like raising environmental standards, taxing rich people, cutting out corporate welfare, letting non-violent drug offenders out of prison, and ending the war in Iraq?

  • This one of Manila's most brilliant exposes, people need to continue to see this.

Reverend Wright was RIGHT. The modern Massacre of the Inocents in Iraq should have been enough impetus for change & Obama should not have had to shun Wright in order to appease the fundamentalist, arrogant militarists seething throughout the red-state heartland. It is the people of the USA who are the problem for their continued complicity in US war-crimes. America is indeed the beautiful but the USA sucks.

  • Listen to this man he is telling the truth, and reality of what is happening in the world.

A good and well presented vid.

  • Oh, look--it's another pandering white syncophant.

  • I love you. I really, really, really love you.

  • your 1st 6 seconds: You do not find fault with his ridiculous rant against Hillary? You do not find fault with him pumping his hips in Church screaming how Bill did the black people like he did Monika Lewinsky? You do not find fault with his tirade against America delivered a mere few days after 911? While thousands of families and MOST of the US was in mourning?? You are bizarre.

  • He wasn't talking about his rant against hillary dumbass.

  • bowchikabowbow: Hey, very mature and real CHANGE!

Your comments shows the change & hope Barack will bring us!!

  • immature is better than dumb I guess. At least I understood the video.

  • bow: no excuse for being rude, crass etc to people on youtube or anywhere for that matter.

    That's not change.

I stand by what I said. At least I treat people with dignity.

  • How does my comment have anything to do with Obama? Where did you ever come up with that? I thought i was informing you about the video and about how the video was not about Wright's rant against Hillary.

You really do like to bring up irrelevant points don't you? Change and Hillary are completely irrelevant to what the video is about and what Wright was talking about it in his GodDamn America sermon.

Can I ask you something? How was what Wright said after 9-11 un-american?

  • THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!

  • Good video.

  • well said

  • Thank you I love what you said at the end Gods people are not afraid to die because they come back, but an evil man is like they never were,Thank you so much, what a nice looking man you are too.

  • ManilaRyceTLM, you're an idiot. Nice Jordanian flag. We all know where your patriotism doesn't stand. Just get out.

  • i would go to church if they spoke the truth as this reverend does.

this is coming from an atheist of almost 8 years.

  • When Reverend Wright said "God Damn America for killing innocent people" he was paraphrasing the Bible:

Deuteronomy 27:25: "CURSED be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, AMEN."

    Amen.

  • From my point of view as an atheist, I think the Rev's message was pretty clear, even in non-religious terms. There is such a thing as a loving and caring god, he'd condemn the American govt.

I think anyone that speaks the truth, truth that threatens the empty pride of Americans, are downplayed as un-American and evil. Fuck that shit! The truth is universal and so much more than anything. I think even Jesus Christ would be pissed at us if he were alive today. And this is coming from an atheist.

  • Fool yourself - you are all owned. More Left left left people are taking over the nation. I don't resent environmentalist, or free enterprise. We need the best of both parties without the extreme left and right.

  • lol

    sweet...

    i actually agree!

fuck america...and i dont kare if i live her!

    still fuck it!

    muahahahaha

  • No!!

  • He's a hard figure to pin down. His comments about AIDS are a little crankish, but many of his criticisms of US foreign policy are spot on. See my video response. Thanks for this and all your other videos which continue to ask pointed questions.

  • Yes! This video is the complete and utter shit! (that means I like the video and that I believe it is incredibly thoughtful, thought-provoking and intriguing for those unaware of the lingo)

  • Wrong, I have watched all of the news channels, and PBS too. I am sorry you feel that way. It is truly sad!

  • 5***** all the way and I subscribe. Thank you for sharing your thoughts through this video. You are right on the money and have articulated the argument superbly.

  • i have recorded about this in great detail! i made some of the same points that you have addressed...very interesting! i haven't posted my video to my audio yet but soon it will be on my blogsite!

  • I.F.Stone said that all governments are run by liars and nothing they say should be believed. Americans somehow naively believe we are different and that our leadership somehow "wouldn't do that." So we go on accepting the Big Lie that we are inherently good. We aren't.

  • Thanks for the pointed reminders!

  • You said it better than I could. Thank you. Peace my friend. Thanks for sending me this link Davis. Fav'd and Blogged.

  • fucking brilliant!

  • no doubt huh? It's like the majority of America is brain washed or something. I can't see how anyone wouldn't see the truth in what he spoke unless they were home schooled without any outside contact. amen to your response!

  • Fine work. 5*'s once more...

  • I listened to Martin Luther King speak about why he is against the vietnam war. Absolutely amazing. His words were filled with wisdom, reason, and compassion. I have to say, Rev. Wright is Right. The truth is...the media will tear down anyone that is a threat to the system. They will twist and spin and leave out and they will convince a few, but those of us who can see a wolf in sheeps clothing when we know one, can see that the whole system is supported by lies.

  • The issue is not what Wright said, it's his firey, vain way of saying it, which is a matter of taste. There is not slighting people for being turned off by Wright's big mouth.

It's much less what he said, than how he conducts himself. Wright is a poverty pimp, so let's not glorify a jackass who did what he could to tear down the first real black candidate for president, whether for emotional issues, or money paid to his building fund.

  • That is profound!

  • BULL - this has taken us back years in race relations. Too many too far leftttttttt people supporting people who do not necessarily have our best interests at heart. MLK believed in Ghandi and peaceful protest. Don't use MLK for your misinformation. Our soldiers have sacrificed for freedom and humanitarian efforts worldwide. Wright should be ashamed. And I don't believe I am racist because I don't believe someone else of color. Judge people by the individual. Look at the propagandist in US.

  • Wow, dude, great work. I've been looking for an intelligent review of the great reverend for a while now. I'm happy to hear there are other revolutionary Christians with the same thoughts. Keep up the good work, brother!

  • Okay buddy.

Your zeus god stories are pitiful.

Start quoting your book about killing homosexuals, men with long hair, people that work on Sundays....

Cut the crap. None of these leaders believe it and laugh at you for doing so.

I can't wait for the responses to this one. Go read your book right this time. Junk.

  • Best commentator on YouTube. Period.

Thanks for all your work ManilaRyce!

  • Sorry, but I think you're wrong about Jesus. While he was no doubt unhappy about the Roman occupation, his bigger bones were with Judaism. As the story goes, the people of palestine opposed Roman rule more vehemently than any other tribe ever. There were countless uprisings, with the Jews usually fighting to the last man. No different from what I would have done, but ironically, this made them the only group that risked being actually destroyed, culturally, by their Roman conquerors.

  • Enter Jesus, whose message was basically "let's stop the bloodshed, I'm sure we can all get along". And that pissed a lot of people off, especially the (non-Roman) religious establishment. The Romans, on the other hand, kind of liked the guy. Pilate actually wrote a letter to the Emperor telling him Jesus wasn't dangerous at all, and could in fact be a positive influence. Of course, the part where the Romans execute Jesus is where it gets confusing....

  • Many have suggested that Jesus had a criminal background, which his enemies dug up (or, if you think he was above that, they faked the evidence), thus forcing Pontius Pilate's hand in the matter. Just a theory, and it would explain a lot.

Other than that, I'm inclined to agree with you, though. I'm a fan of Chomsky myself.

  • Good video--makes a lot of sense, but I am biased because I already agree with you. :) However, I'd personally suggest you boil it down and make it a bit more concise if you want to get your message acorss.

  • To be honest it is REALLY hard for me to vote for any of the candidates because I really don't trust any of them. I myself is black but I wouldn't vote for Obama because he is black. Either way it's really hard for me to vote for anyone at this point. All I can do at this point is hope something good will come out of all of this.

  • No, there is something you can do. Re investigate all of the candidates, and then vote your conscience. Mine is for McCain, but each of us has to explore our own. We did not kill millions, that is a twist. We freed millions, and the Subversives, terrorists are the ones killing with no regard to innocents.

Look who has always backed these type of wars.

Communists, and non-free governments willing to harm Freedom /Democracy and Humanitarian efforts. Who do they call when attacked? US!

  • Please explain to me how you think the United States has not killed millions, I am floored that you can say that so casually. Do you know about any of the civilian areas that were bombed (in pretty much ever US conflict ever)? Look it up. Some were labeled as "mistakes" some werent talked about, however, millions of CIVILIANS are dead, not millions of "subversives" or "terrorists."

  • I will repeat, when civilians were and are killed, you can thank those who want to keep killing innocents, not the soldiers who protect and help them. Iraq wants its own freedom to stay, it is the troublemakers, Iran, Taliban, AlQaeda, and many other groups wishing to disrupt and then arming these animals to kill -

  • Sparkles..

get some education partner. Iran, Taliban and aL Qaeda have nothing to do with the atrocity US is perpatuting on Iraqi people. You are repeating what Fox and other networks are feeding the sheeples.

  • God damn the bankers, military industrial complex, the president, vice president and the whole lot of them.

  • Thank you for your sincerity, honesty, insight. Yes, as you said, about a million people lost their lives and incalculable suffering, loss and tragedy as the result of a demonstrably illegal act of aggression by the US. Demonstrably illegal according to any moral standard, but also that of international law of which the US is a signatory. Please continue this, never stop. Thanks, T

  • Informative!

  • OMG I am sooo glad I found this video. Great job. You are so wise. Thank you for spreading truth!

  • I can't disagree that Americans fear an angry black man near (or in) the seat of power, but we should also notice the angry white men like Pat Robertson, John Hagee and the late (and not lamented) Jerry Falwell, who have been associated with our current president. Keeping in mind the average awareness, if not intelligence, of American voters, Barack Obama had little choice but to distance himself from the reverend Jeremiah Wright.

  • Excellent video.

Liberation theology needs to be explained more. If you've read the Bible, liberation theology is actually what Jesus said.

  • The only people calling Wright's comments racist are the people who are themselves racist, and the people who see a benefit from making these comments out to be racist.

  • nice one BIG UP!!

  • love me some tom waits

  • Peace out dude, Awesome video.

  • Thank you for your always refreshing voice. It keeps me awake, and remembering my own views, that too easily these days fade in the struggle to make ends meet, and raise children in a country that doesn't care about their education. Thank You, you speak for me.

  • BRAVO..

  • This is the raw undiluted truth. Its very rare to hear such truth these days. KUDOS

  • the democratic party has been standing for the voice of the american people and following the will of the nation ever since it began for hilary to even suggest it vote for her instead of the will of the people is defaming to herself in her respect to the party and deserve an apology to nancy peolosi houspeaker-barack for denouncing him for john mccain--hilary attacks more democrats than john mccain-

  • Sadly, Obama = Clinton = McCain = further destruction of USA and other countries

  • Wright is too real for America.

  • I would take Jesus' "Give unto Caesar..." statement as even more radical than Dorothy Day's interpretation. Jesus made that statement in response to the Pharisees asking whose picture was on the coin; Jesus' response identifies God's kingdom as a kingdom without money or the need for money. That's God's politics as seen through Jesus.

  • Great commentary...thanks MR.

    Peace

  • Yep, thats all I got to say really lol.

Great video, yeah, the people are like an immortal beast being put to sleep by mortals wishing to control them, as long as the mortals do not wake the beast, they will continue to cipher it's energy.

We are the beast, and we are about to be woken up, the government will stop at nothing to prevent this, but it will happen.

    Peace out.

  • I really love your videos, keep up the message and the good work your doing, What video editor do you use?

  • Thank you for your voice. Keep on keepin' on.

  • i'm not a very religious person, but i agree with alot of your views man. Obama does not want to be a target for any issues so i knew he would react that way when i saw his preacher on the news.

none of our presidential candidates are fit to be president(except for mike gravel) imo. they don't show any real morals, just the same politics.

  • None of our presidential candidates are fit to be president except for Mike Gravel. That is true. He has said he will resign from Presidency after first six months if American people do not vote for the National Initiative to empower themselves to be lawmakers, able to repeal and make laws just as Congress does.

  • Where is Mike Gravel's hard campaigning as he promised ???

Face it HE WILL NEVER WIN...

  • Good video

  • Mainstream Media is a joke not just western but almost all over the globe. I dont know what they eat for breakfast, I can only hope something unique, because to tell so many lies over and over for years after years must need a special diet.

  • Your video was refreshing compared with all the racist videos I see on Youtube.

  • Awesome job! The truth will set us FREE!

  • I wouldn't vote for Obama because of his stance on the middle east and his connections with the Council on Foreign Relations, it is obvious he is part of the system we already have today that is destroying our nation.

BUT his paster is RIGHT ON !!

  • That's why I call this country Nazi AmeriKKKa. Let wait and see, if Obama elected president whether or not he can resist the pressure of becoming a PUPPET for the white extremists.

  • Vote for Rev.Wright for president.

    He speaks truth to power.

  • FanFuckinTastic

  • This is the best video of yours I've seen yet. It's if not the most, one of the most philosophicaly influencial to my view of this cociety I've seen.

  • Thanks for speaking the truth, Brother. I was raised in the church but we were taught love, kindness, compassion, as you do to the least of my brethern...I've got quite a few years on you, that was before the Christian Right stole our religion. I'm now looking for the Spiritual Left, there should be such a group. The words of Reverend Wright ring true to these ears.

  • People who are for Jesus need to recognize American's sin... Remember that you know Jesus and be honest for his peace.

  • Yes, the racist, largely white, mainstream media controlled by 6 men calls the minority racist. Very clever. Very sick. Typical 1984 propaganda. Can never forget that pictures of Che and JFK after death showed both with their eyes still open...Che's dead body was displayed like a trophy. Would no one (and many people had seen and been close to his body) have had the decency or respect to close JFK's eyes? If not, why? Was he also a trophy? I can never forget...

  • You nailed it. You are awesome.

  • Great observations! Very well done!

  • Excellent, as usual.

  • Best video I've seen for days!

  • Thanks for this.

Or, if you want to spend more time and money, read Phyllis Bennis' book "The Palestinian-Israeli Conflict: A Primer." There are numerous other books I could recommend...

I'm glad that you're open and honest in your belief that Palestinians are sub-human.

  • Your incessant use of the words "lies" and "liar" makes you sound like an idiot.

  • There is one thing that Mr. Wright said that I do take issue with. "The government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color. The government lied." I seriously doubt this, and I really don't think that there's any evidence for it. Now, I understand the frustration that minorities are disproportionately getting HIV, and especially in light of the Tuskegee Syphilis experiment. But I really can't accept this as true. It's probably more from unequal healthcare

  • The Oxford Research Bureau, a well-respected polling agency, just updated its total estimate of Iraqi deaths to 1.3 million. It's a little difficult to determine how many are from the U.S., since the army doesn't count how many civilians it kills. Iraqi opinion may be somewhat helpful here though - the most recent BBC/ABC poll shows that 61% of Iraqis believe that the U.S. presence in Iraq is making the security situation worse; this number is higher in areas where the troops are deployed.

  • Little known liberal mouthpiece, not that there's anything wrong w/ that. Recorded Iraqi deaths by international org's is 48,875 (icasualties dot org) based on all US, Euro & Arab news reports; granted its low. Say double it? 100k. US invasion was a HUGE MISTAKE & facilitated conditions to civil war, but Iraqi deaths are NOT direct US killing civilians, its the idiot Sunni & Shitte. Idiot liberal propagandist (Rose O'Donald) say MILLION, their off by a factor of 10! Liars talking out their ***.

  • The casualties on that website are only for ones reported in the media, and only God knows how much they are missing. You can't just say "ok, double it" an expect that to be a rational argument. The number doesn't include the massive amount of people who are dead in, just to give one example, Baghdad's "killing fields," where scores of people lie dead in unmarked graves. And the Oxford Research Group uses well established polling techniques, and so it is not just a bunch of made up BS.

  • lol, way to not even deal with any facts. The techniques they have used, which are well established and respected, include going to different regions of Iraq, establishing about how many people live there, and the average size of families. They then sample numerous families and ask how many people in their families have died. You should also note that the Oxford Research Group's study didn't include al-Anbar province, the most violent in Iraq, and so the number could be higher.

  • The Iraqis had an election, and they never got what they voted for. The United Iraqi Alliance, which is the party that won the election, campaigned on the promise that they'd demand a strong timetable for withdrawal of U.S. troops. They won the election, and have made numerous requests for a timetable. The U.S. laughed at the suggestion.

  • And also, according to the Nuremberg Tribunals, when a country illegally invades another country, it bears the responsibility of all the evil that ensues. This includes any internal instability that results from an invasion. And so even though there is great internal strife in Iraq, according to international law the U.S. bears that responsibility.

  • I like your responses Tamadun. very educated. most don't understand what was accomplished at the Nuremberg Trials.

  • No, I didn't make up that number. I once again have to try to get this through your thick skull that there is a study using well-established polling techniques that estimated the total number of Iraqi deaths to have been 1.3 million, not including deaths in al-Anbar. Are you so stupid to ignore every word I've said so far?

  • And all I was saying was that it's difficult to determine how many people have been killed because of the U.S. military as opposed to how many have been killed from internal strife. Either way, no matter what proportion those two would form, the U.S. bears the responsibility according to the Nuremberg Tribunals.

  • Your statements are entirely uncreative at best, or utterly hateful at worst. I don't feel I need to respond to your comments about religion.

btw, Muslims believe in Jesus too. ;)

  • lol, I have read the Qur'an. You should too before you start talking out of your ass. Jesus is not the son of the devil in Islam, dumbass.

  • Thats a load of horse crap, Jews, Christians and Zoroastrians are protected under Islam as peoples of the Books, they are to be allowed to live in Islamic lands, in exchange for the payment of a tax.

  • And I agree, there is no reason to fly jets into buildings and kill people. I'm not condoning 9/11, idiot. But if you want to make a moral decision, then you'd be concerned with what WE can do, namely, don't commit atrocities overseas. Killing and oppressing people tends to produce a phenomenon called "blowback." The terrorist response to our terrorism isn't justified (just as you said, two wrongs don't make a right), but eliminating the 1st wrong is easier because then there won't be a 2nd one.

  • For you to say that the deaths by US soldiers are nonexistent or insignificant is to presume evidence to the contrary. But there is little evidence on this subject at all because the U.S. military, by historical practice, does not count the civilians that it kills. But once again, if you look at the opinions of the people who actually live where the military is deployed, the strong majority agree that U.S. military presence does not help security but worsens it.

  • "For you to say that the deaths by US soldiers are nonexistent or insignificant is to presume evidence to the contrary." - SHOW ME WHERE I SAID THAT. ONE IS TOO MANY, BUT S**T HAPPENS. FACTS PLEASE NOT BS. WHAT ABOUT ALL THE DEAD US SOLDIERS (4000) & 10's OF 10,000's WOUNDED, MANY GRIEVOUSLY. R U upset about that? I'm guessing no. US has caused SOME civilians casualties. 1 million? FU. This is not justification for Rev Wright. Islam wants you dead if your not Muslim. DEAL WITH IT.

  • You really ought to apply your "facts not bs" rule to yourself, because you have little of the former and lots of the latter. And have I denounced the deaths of soldiers?

  • Here, I'll show you where you said that -> "Iraqi deaths are NOT direct US killing civilians, its the idiot Sunni & Shitte."

  • Agree, Iraq sucks, incompetents, dubious intel made fit their decision based on arrogance, thanks Bush. Lack of planning = tragic mess, but DOES NOT MEAN Rev Wright, days after 9/11, Damn USA! Say we deserve it! STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR HATERS. "Black liberation theology" = Jesus is black, blacks r superior & whites r devils. Dumb M Richards & Imus speak stupid, they're publicly lynched, fired, forced to grovel to Al Sharpton. America DOES SO MUCH GOOD! This Vid is arrogant contrarian BS lies.

  • lol, I'm glad you've decided to say what's already been spat out of the mainstream media thousands of times by now. Oh, and about 9/11, I don't recall him saying we deserved it (and if he did, then I'd disagree). It is simply the fact that such an event would have been extremely unlikely if the U.S. would take a more equitable foreign policy in the Middle East.

  • Another tom waits fan! wonderful!

    god bless Manila.

  • That T-Shirt is blasphemous! I'll see you in hell...Oh yeah, we're already there.

The Old Testament measurement of punishment, "An eye for and eye..." would actually be preferable to the disproportionate response of violence that the US and Israel are guilty.

Kudos on the Rev Wright. I think you and I may be the only ones defending him.

    peace

  • Beautiful, very eloquent and well put. Words to move ones soul and body into action, thanks!

  • No no no no Not God bless America, but God Damn America

  • This is extremely well done, as your videos typically are. Your overwhelming use of quotations and references is reminiscent of Chomsky himself.

  • President bush allowed & encouraged wire taps, water boarding & unfeathered operation of so called terrorism expert companies.

Those not in military uniform can very well be spying for intelcenter or other companies to stage acts of terror abroad.

Foreign countries may not allow such operatives to operate or have links on their soil.

Though water boarding is inhuman,Americans encourage such use, though US operatives be subjected to little better than that welcome. No need to inform US embassies.

  • i love watching these vids, i see things i kne, things i didnt, and you give shape and form to things i already thought but didnt kno how to express, keep em coming, best subcription yet

  • It has really bothered me how the religious conservative preachers can say all the hateful things they say, and are given a kind of carte-blanche to make all kinds of crazy statements, but when the recordings of Rev. Wright surfaced, white America collectively gasped. There he was, a black man speaking with passion and anger about injustice. Oh, my. That's really something to fear *sarcasm*

  • Your video was very thoughtful and enlightening. Thank you. I was not really clear on liberation theology before, but now I think I understand - at least somewhat.

  • Jesus of Nazereth is the first humanitarian, e,g ,proponent and defender of human rights, in recorded history.

in fact, American civil rights are founded upon preventing the atrocities perpetrated on Jesus the Christ himself.

zionism is a false religion that propoese that Crimes Against Humanity should be acceptab;e to humanity.
