you are going the wrong way ovel is from left to right on the driving stand or counter clockwise. rule of Nascar go strait turn left not right. plus you are trying to go fast and you have no control.

These 1/27 scale cars are supposed to drive like any real RC cars and have many parts avail.. but I must agree that the way they are being driven in this video would actually turn me away from buying one because the way they are being driven makes them look like cheap toy rc cars opposed to a Kyosho, HPI, Mugen Seiki, AE, etc... I would have waited to post a video where all of you had more practice. Steering is usually sensitive you don't need to whip it a great degree especially on an oval.

When we started building mini-z tracks at the house we started with roofing tar paper. It is an excellent surface but stinks for outdoors (first hint of moisture ruins it - the paper ripples). The track you see here is actually made from rubber roll roofing (sold in 1 meter x 10 meter lengths). We used driveway sealer (use the gritty stuff) on the smooth side of the rubber to give it a paved surface. That was great for outdoors - rain had no effect.

Actually, it was a good size track. The main problem was that most of the drivers had never driven R/C cars before. Luckily, the Mini-Zs can really take a beating.

The walls of the track were simply 3/4" PVC with pipe insulation to protect the cars when they hit it.

After this track, my dad went all out and built an indoor fully banked oval. It was built within a plywood enclosure with 10" speakers mounted in it for music and race announcing - totally cool and really fast. I'll have to upload some vids of that one next.
