@DanielRicardoCA hehe, even if it is a young, vulcanic land, we icelanders are so very attached to our home, our land, our rocks and stones, even if we always ben travelers, and often leave for other lands, we always miss our own land, as far as my family goes, they do as well.
Just to let you know a majority of Sigur Ros's songs are written in what they call Vonlenska/"Hopelandic" in English, which is basically just tones and syllables that fit to the music, not necessarily written language or words. So, for most of their songs there are no translatable lyrics. However, they have written some in Icelandic, and one song in English, that you can probably find the lyrics for.
@ichbinmexicaner21 This might be version on Disc 2 of the Heima Two Disc Set, which only includes performances of the pieces. I own the Two-Disc set, and some of the performances on the second disc for the songs are edited differently than in the actual Heima feature with some of the interviews of the band and what not. Hope this helps explain the difference!

There not speaking in icelandic, Jonsi is singing in a form of stylised gibberish called "Hopelandic". The words mean nothing, but the music speaks for itself. What Sigur Ros is doing is making the voice an instrument just like anything else.

this is one of my favourite Sirgur Rós songs, definatly a tear jerker. To see it played in the middle of nowhere in the beautiful Iceland is just magical.
me and a friend frequently play music (not of this caliber mind you) but we live in a spot where within 30 minutes you could be in the dead center of the city or if you drove the other way, the middle of nowhere under influence of mute math, we played in the city, got arrested, in influence of this specific clip, we played in the middle of nowhere, and you guessed it, got arrested,
not as much freedom to living in the states anymore is there? (i guess we have everything else though... sorry)
