Lucky to be in a prime position like that. A dust bowl somewhere back and the inflow coming from it so you can actually see dust getting sucked into it!
@manga4774 I have a lot of friends from Toronto that come down to Tornado Alley and chase storms every year. These storms are really an amazing sight to see, as long as they are out over open country. unfortunately that isn't always the case. Thanks so much for watching!
@lelsieldeleon37 Supercells can occur anywhere in the world. They are more common in places like the mid west USA, but they can and do occur anywhere as long as the conditions are there.
@RebornLayneStaley Thanks for watching! Actually, I don't have any employees at all...just me and my friend Dave and my SUV full of gear. We foot the bill for the entire thing too but we love getting out there on the road every year so it's all worth it :)
@McSWTHART Hi! And thanks for watching my video :) A supercell storm is defined as a single cell storm (one dominate updraft, and one dominant downdraft) that has a persistant, rotating updraft. Only about 25% of all supercells produce tornadoes.
@MissWWE20 It doesn't want to end here either in NYC! ha ha...got another noreaster on the way for this Friday, what the hell!!?? Bring on spring already :) Thanks for watching
Woweee..Scott..this was a real monster of a supercelled-Tstorm..which has everything a severe Tstorm lover/chaser would ultimately want....including the ''bear's cage''..the inflowjets...wall clouds...inky dark skies....and of course..plenty of awesome lightning and thunder....and of course...**tornadoes**... some of these mouth-watering images you've proudly videotaped--can easily rival many of the wild severe wx-pixes seen in the annual ''Weather Guide Calendar'' issues...heeeheee...
@L12weather Thanks for watching Leonardo! Glad you enjoyed the video, and yep....here in the US we do get a lot of incredible storms. Hope you are able to travel to the US one of these years to see them for yourself!!
@MartiniStrom Thanks for watching!! Next spring I plan on doing a lot more time lapse sequences! Definitely a good idea there :) Too bad about your storm season though, I hope next years is better for you!
Rolling Shutter effects on the car wipers, they get bended every time they moving in the front of the lens, typical CMOS sensor artifact...But from a other side, the video seems pretty awesome...Great footage....
@swanty32e Yep, my dash cam is a Canon HV20 HDV Cam (CMOS sensor)...the other camera I use which is my main one is the Sony Z1, LOVE that one! Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
@Lukasz564 Same here in NYC. We very rarely, if ever get storms like this here in my area either. Well, with the exception of last month of course. lol. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thx for posting, beautiful structure. As always, very professionally filmed -- even in your vehicle, your footage is steady (looks tripoded). Looks liked it was filmed in 16:9 -- can't beat that panoramic effect !! Very cool !!!
@extremeweatherfilms Thank you! Glad you enjoyed. And yes, I was using a small HDV cam mounted to my windshield for the in the car shots. I'm a stickler for steady video, lol. I try to use my tripod as much as possible when outside the vehicle, but there are times where you have to shoot hand held. And I love 16:9 too! Thanks again for watching and commenting
Great storm footage. I was in Kansas on this day and saw a brief tornado in Cimmaron. I got greedy and missed filming it because I was trying to get closer. It fizzled as I was finally getting to the spot I wanted to film it from. Another storm formed and cut the inflow off of the one I was on.
@Torn80cj Thanks!! And yes, I've been there myself where you want to drive just a little more so you can get into a good position to film, just to have the damn tornado fizzle on you, lol. Ugh that is so frustrating! Thanks for watching once again :)
@DuBBleXX Yes, the dreaded SDS sets in until next spring, lol. Hopefully we'll get a few good snow storms here this winter to get me through until then! All the best to you and thanks for watching!
@larry2043 Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed :) I've been going through some of my master tapes and I'm coming across some chase days that were only up until now on my dvd, but not here on Youtube.
@The2Coolest2 Thanks!! And during that segment you mention that was dust and dirt getting picked up and pulled into the storms updraft region. The inflow with this supercell storm was amazing!

supercell thunderstoms likely get low and produce tornadoes that's why they are dangerous but they are still very fastinating

wow! things like that are life threatening but they are fastinating!

@ganzfan9 Yep, you got that right! dangerous but fascinating at the same time. Thanks for watching!
