HOW DO I DO THAT?? I've watched a bunch of these vids. Nobody explains anything. what do i need other than a furby? do i need some software or something? how do i connect it to my computer?
This is pretty sweet! when you say New circuit board, do you mean you attached a new microcontroller or that the new furbies have blue tooth connectablility? Where can a fellow get more info?
I had to laugh at that point in the video. I can't tell, from your response whether or not you realize what just you are saying when you say "pecker". The part that was not opening is called a beak, which yes, birds use them to peck things. When you talk about a pecker though, you are talking about a male reproductive organ...at least in the U.S. anyway.
Haha, don't worry about it, I can completely see the thinking behind your mistake. It really is an interesting project, and I appreciate your posting the video. I got a laugh out of it and got to see a great video, what more could you ask for?!? 5/5 stars
this is amazing stuff. you wouldnt post details on exactly how to do this would you? I would love to hack furby to sing along to songs or say things I wanted it to.
OMG last night i saw my realy old furby that doesnt work so i went and got the scissors and sred down all his fur and now hes a robot and hes freaky looking!!
This Furby has been hardly modified.I have completely removed original circuit board which controls the machine. Then I have made my own version of the electronics with different components and write firmware, which allows Furby to be controlled in the way you see in the video. It communicates through BlueTooth virtual serial port with the PC. You can send commands like "move ears/eys to position X,make step etc...Audio connection is driven by BT module and received by special hardware module.

The expression on his little face and the music make this one of the saddest videos I've ever seen.

I love furby, and I must say, he did a great job! Most of the hackers just hack Furbies with atari consoles... And fox do a lot more!
