  • the beginning of this composition is sooo creepy. I love it.

  • One of the great true movie themes of the 90's. From the best composer there ever was.

  • Is Sharon Stone doing a B.J. in this image?

  • spectacular, fantastic!

  • Very eerie but sexy too

  • This was the fisrt CD I ever owned. At the time it cost me a lot of my allowance money, but it was definitely worth it:)!

  • @elizabethkillian Allowance? How old were you when you watched Basic Instinct?

  • Very nice. Excellent composer. Not Mozart but even Beethoven was an amateur compared to Wolfgang.

  • got a very creepy feel to it, I like it!

  • Not know it was Jerry Goldsmith's fantastic

  • It symbolizes something sooo attractive and sooo dangerous in the same time. Sweet and creepy, love and fear... So expressive this soundtrack. When I first saw the movie I felt creeps because of the music. It still gives me this feeling, that you need to do something / to be with someone even if this brings you the death.

  • Jerry Goldsmith pure genius. The music totally conveys what is gonig on in the film. It`s very haunting.

  • just perfect

  • this score is totally unreal......just perfect in every way......

  • a great music to another world,and beyond! ;-)))

  • 3.33.

    Nok1a E.

  • la música refleja a la perfección el ambiente de la película:ese ambiente opresivo,obsesivo,maníaco...

  • This should have never been given a dtshdma sound mix! The film was mixed and recoded in DOLBY STEREO SR read the end credits! Its put me off buying this on bluray because the studios use dtshama as propaganda message for the kiddie bluray.com, fucking masses that don’t even fucking listen! It should have been given Dolby TrueHD because it credits the way the film was mixed and released in 1992.

  • This Wonderful Music Should Have Won An Academy Award For Best Original Score, Yet It Was Not Even Nominated...Shame On You Academy Members...

    Shame On You...!

  • @Juha751 it was actually

  • @Juha751 The Academy is run by douche bags...

  • @Juha751 Actually, it was nominated for both an Oscar and a Golden Globe. It lost to Alan Menken's score for "Aladdin" both times.

  • @Juha751

    I think it was nominated.

  • Amazing, yet sad that a talent such as Goldsmith only one one Oscar.

  • The score was as important to this film as any of the actors in it. And the actors in it were uniformally superb.

  • fantastic.... best music best film....

  • Excellent score.....as for the movie - meh.

  • ahhhhhh, awesome!

Thanks for this and much love:)

  • gr8 movie nice music

  • is this the music that plays when Micheal Douglas is following Sharon Stone along the coastal road ?.................

  • @nodnops, 'Night Games' is the music from Basic Instinct for the scene you're referring to.

  • if i coud give ten stars for this piece of music i did it.

    It is so beautiful.

(Hope i wrote it in good english)

  • So many movies were never worthy of his music.

  • @nostromo38. Goldsmith did score more than his fair share of bad/awful movies because (as his family said) he became quickly restless when he wasn't working on a movie score or some piece of music. My choice of his worst project would be the 1980's 'King Solomon's Mines' with the cast and crew apparently realising their only hope was to play the movie for cheap laughs.

  • The score made the movie... it was very sexy and mysterious as was Sharon Stone..

  • Sharon stone was at her hottest during this period of her career.

  • This music is like a HD photo of catherine. Better resolution than reality.

  • you dont see it that often the main title of a movie being played in the intro. probaly because people can't wait. like me

  • exelent

  • I love the Main Theme... beautiful, sexy, mysterious, dangerous, just like Catherine...

  • Definition just right

  • jerry goldsmiths film scores were sublime and would say unequaled, so many different genres, the sould never being repetitive, always original and creative......great loss.....R.I.P JERRY

  • Nicely uploaded sounds good in Dolby stereo on the JBL sound system. Yes I like Jerry Goldsmiths film scoring works.

    R.I.P. Jerry

  • what a great soundtrack, one of the best goldsmith musics
