He did break the plane, but the ball was striped before he touched the ground. At least that's what it looks like... It doesn't look like he has the ball when he jumps on top of the pile. Whatever actually happened there, you have to admit, that is one heck of a return! Nice upload

exactly, regardless if it was a fumble or td recovery, the fact of the matter was that was a hell of a return. you just dont see a defensive player out run anyone on offense for 99+ yards.

@jaw1987cchs This is true, though it technically did happen this year in the Army/Navy game :P I'm always cheering for a defensive player that can make a play like this(or something similar), regardless of the team. This year in NFL, we've seen a QB get striped of the ball, recovered by a defensive player, and run in for a TD of 40+ yards, we've seen a 350-pound defensive lineman with a 71-yard kick return, and many other amazing defensive plays. Good job! :D

UNLV had a 99 yard return against Baylor....same type of play. Baylor was up by a 5 and it was the LAST play of the game, and they wanted to pad the score.....Kevin Thomas (played a few years for the Buffalo Bills) picked up a fumble in the endzone and ran it back 99 yards.

that was a blown call...Del state won the conference that year and because of that call Morgan State fell from contentions....The MEAC conference contacted the school to apologize that it was indeed a touch down and there were several other blown calls.  We need replay in FCS football...

It should have been called a TD for the ball carrier. Nose of the ball cleared the goal line before he lost possession. Unfortunately for Morgan State, In many cases the referee has an interest in the game.

End-zone yardage does not count in the NCAA, except on field goals. ESPN's studio man or the game announcers may have incorrectly called it a 99-yarder, or the game's statistician may have entered the play improperly and corrected it later.

TD Morgan The ground does not cause a fumble. He broke the plain on the endzone. This MEAC crew should of been suspended. You can clearly see while 43 was in the air he broke the plain. The ball comes out after he hits the ground. Just a glorified high school crew as usual. That was terrible were was the linejudge and the linesman.

99 yard runback? must be new math...fullback crosses plane of goal without control of the ball, ball squirts out in the end zone resulting in the runback for a touchdown. Did somebody shorten the field by a yard? And five days later it is reported that the league is reviewing the play to see if it was a bad call by the officiating crew...which could result in their suspension.
