the problem with this is, theres so much going on in space that we dont know. we can see what we can from the surface of our planet but things could be much different than we think when were acually there. as for the "ice particle", i would say thats probably true. looks like its moving toward the glass on the ship then deflects away. change in speed are due to the angle of aproach. looks slow cause its comming slightly toward then deflects almost parralell and away.

@tbaldwin102 A couple of things here. 1, take into context...He has been in space, a lot. So, I am inclined to believe that he has an idea of what is normal to see and what is not normal to see. Further, I think we would be well advised to give a bit more weight to people with experience in space than people who have never been...especially when they use the phrase "open mind"
The video quality here is actually very good. Unfortunately space is so immense and there is very far away that it is not really possible to get closer. But recently though I heard they have gotten much better video recording devices so we should be able to see something even better quality.

the problem with this is, theres so much going on in space that we dont know. we can see what we can from the surface of our planet but things could be much different than we think when were acually there. as for the "ice particle", i would say thats probably true. looks like its moving toward the glass on the ship then deflects away. change in speed are due to the angle of aproach. looks slow cause its comming slightly toward then deflects almost parralell and away.

Further, I think we would be well advised to give a bit more weight to people with experience in space than people who have never been...especially when they use the phrase "open mind"

The video quality here is actually very good. Unfortunately space is so immense and there is very far away that it is not really possible to get closer. But recently though I heard they have gotten much better video recording devices so we should be able to see something even better quality.

@003590510 The cameras we use on spaceborne assets, such as satellites, are several orders of magnitude higher resolution than anything that will be available to consumers for quite a while. Take it this way: even declassified spysat photos can tell you a car's license plate info from orbit, so it stands to reason that spysats that are still highly classified and more sophisticated could tell you if you'd need a flat or a phillips screwdriver to remove said license plate.

It has a resolution of 0.05 arcseconds: If you could see as well as Hubble, you could stand in New York City and distinguish two fireflies, 1 meter apart, in San Francisco. That's 3k miles away, which is almost 10x the altitude of it's orbit. Imagine how well it would see surface objects from only 353 miles in orbit. And relatively speaking, it's old tech.
