  • Well Done!

  • stellar.

  • SIMPATICOOOOOOOOOOO BRAVO

  • It could just as well be toenails as the man is playing the

bass keyboard barefoot, but FORGET IT and enjoy the

    old dude's music!

  • I've asked several keyboard players down through the years for songs by artists like the Doors, Animals, etc. They've all delivered beautifully, but their individual Keyboards don't have this "Real" sound. Today's most advanced electronics can't seem to come close. I wonder what it is that gives this type of Organ, this particular sound? Thanks for the awesome performance and post!

  • @slowdog294 Hope your year is starting out well for you.I had an idea today...what would happen if you put Conn pipes over the face of an Allen Gyrophonic? Know anyone who has ever attempted such a feat? Seems like it might be cool! What's your thoughts

(Anyone can answer, but hope to hear from the Bone Doctor too)

  • Great job!

  • That show, heard the sound of the keys! make the pace Saludos desde Argentina

  • Really great!! Excellent!!

  • why are you all worried about clicking sound and noise from mechanics, Enjoy the super talent and the splendid performance. Listen to the music and admire the musician.

    Great

    Thanks you!

  • Reminds me of Roller Coaster Tycoon

  • Quite well done! Thanks for sharing

  • I like the clicking noise, it's chirpy!

  • como este e lindo e como este rapaz toca bem esta musica que eu amo de mais

  • oi

  • Cool, thanks!

  • Thanks for sharing, nice playing.

  • Bravo ! .

Continue with your great hits ! .

  • I can remember my grandfather playing this song on the according. He was so great at it. I was 10 years the first time I remember hearing it.

  • That was GREAT - thanks I enjoyed it & Mom did too.

  • Good job!

  • RE: slowdog294. Thank you for the benefit of your response. My Hammond organ is 52 years old and has no such issues. I did state "regardless of what organ he's playing..." meaning I've heard him on a number of organs and the clicking is there for all. Guess the felt is worn off of anything he plays. So, rather than us beating this to death, I would appreciate hearing from Mr. Bone Doctor himself. Thanks Knightsix

  • @60knightsix

When you put a camera with built in microphones very close to an organ console, it not only picks up the sound coming out of the speakers, it also picks up the mechanical noises the console makes. Since most of the consoles I have played when making my videos are very old and noisy, you will hear clicks and bangs, etc. Also, I am a bass player who also plays acoustic piano and have heavy hands, especially when I am getting into the groove. That is the source of the noise.

  • @slowdog294 I actually like the sound of the clicks. They sound a lot like a typewriter.

  • @60knightsix The bode doctor isn't the only one who could benefit by a refelting, it seems to be pretty common on youtube. I think there is some kind of frequency in those clicks and clacks that gets picked up easily by a digital camera's microphone. What gets me is that 90% of the organ buffs who play probably would have very little difficulty in plugging a separate mic into the camera and putting it closer to the organ's tone cabinet?

  • Whow, so nice! So amazing to those of us like me who, for our lives, cannot come remotely close to playing that well! Fun to hear and fun to watch!

  • This was a very nice rendition of Beer Barrel Polka. Well done. I thought I was listening to the Whirlitzer theatrical Organ. Nice ...

    Ron!

  • Rosamunde, schenk mir dein herz und sag ja... :-)

  • I wish I had a beer barrel to dance on right now!

  • still dont know what a tararrel is

  • You are wonderful. What I saw and heard is awesome. I know many people who play the organ, but you're the best;)

    My respect.!

  • You play very well as I am impressed! Those Conn organs sounds like the real thing, real theater organ!

  • Awesome!!! Love you and your organ music :-) Do you tour? Come to Santa Barbara and play on the Arlington Theater's big organ, you'd be a hit!!!

  • B E A S T .

  • Sweet job, man!

  • Roooooooll out the barrels!

  • excellent!!!!!

  • now that awsome and i am in the mood to have a drink thanks for posting

  • Nie wirtuozeria, ale ... cacusi ! Podoba mi sie !

  • The sure sign of a good time...

  • i like this vid! love the song selection and the playing!

  • I love this song ^.^ And honestly, with the fact the felt bushings are worn out, the very distinct "clickety clack" fits in quite well with the energetic songs.. or atleast this one! Look forward to move video's from you, Sir Bone Doctor.

  • Simply amazing organ playing! It's songs and performances like this that make me want to learn how to play the organ.

  • I can't believe you thought those were fingernails clicking on those keys! Some People! You did a wonderful job playing that organ. Wish you would put more on, so bouncy, and I don't care if it does clickity click. I love the music.

  • I LIKE!!

  • I don't know what it is about this gentleman, but regardless of what organ he's playing, he generates a very discernable 'clicking' sound with each touch of the keyboard...I'm left to conclude he needs to trim his fingernails. Knightsix.

  • The organ is fourty years old and the felt bushings are all worn out. That is what you are hearing, not my fingernails, which I keep trimmed short so they do NOT make noise on the keys. Since the kic was fairly close to the console, you can hear all the noises it makes.

  • I got to say your CONN Organ sounds beautiful even with the felt on the returns being worn out. I also have a CONN Tube Organ Though mine is the #645 Deluxe Theatre Organ, Still... these old CONN organs have a warm and smooth feel to the sound they put out. God Bless the Old Tube Organs!! :) :) GREAT SONG TO!!

  • @60knightsix sounds great!

  • @60knightsix I think we should listen and appreciate this man's talent, tune out the clicks, watch his fingers, and enjoy the music he shares with us.. Fred

  • Made in Czechoslovakia 1938

  • Wonderful play!

  • Esta polka alemana la conocemos en hispanoamérica como "BARRILITO" es muy alegre y festiva como para tomarse uno unas buenas cervezas acompañado de alemanes, arios o doichlandeses.

  • I play this on the 5 string banjo with my bluegrass band and it is a kicker!....great fun for fast Scruggs style pickin!

  • Beautifull... I've played accordion and all keyboards for over 60 yrs. You got 'er down bro'. Gone for a cold one now..

  • That looks like so much fun!!!! Love it!

  • I feel like I'm at a minor league baseball game with this music! Isn't this what they play when they drag the infield?

  • @GregMargis MINOR league? The only difference I detect (not being any expert) is the -- well I want to say, the size of the organ. This one would not fill a ball park. I always enjoy your music, slowdog. Have a great year!

  • Original name of song: Madřanská Polka, componist: Vladimír Vejvoda

  • i can't even play the ocarina....... and it's supposed to be really easy T_T

on the upper side, the man has talent :-)

  • WOW WOW WOW Man that was great! What coordination - I "kinda" play the piano and reading both staves AND using the sustaining pedal is difficult for me - great to see you using 3 keyboards - the sound effects AND your foot playing those pedals. Wish I could do that. Thank you

  • when I listen to this music, I imagine a movie scene.... psychopath walking into a mall and opening fire. People running, screaming, women crying, mayhem....then there's the clown
