You're probably right. I could never find any problems with the temp itself, however, so I ended up just replacing the Black box (after a botched attempt at removing the noise-maker itself killed the blinkers). Now it just makes a sound like an elevator chime, but I can't hear it unless the car is completely stopped, so I forgot about that problem...

@jinkbot there is a little buzzer on the back of the cluster should be tan, my coolant was low one day and that buzzer stayed on and on and on and would not go off oh my god! i wanted to drive it off a cliff topped off the coolant and tore that fucking buzzer out ;)

its probably the coolant buzzer.

used to happen to mine all the time.
