Today we have some really talented good musicians and we should and are appreciating them. Look up who their inspirations were. What many people refer to with their I-hate-my-generation comments is that all music today is more or less based on music from eras gone by. There is a difference from how we write, perform and view music today than when this was made.

I don't claim to be a fan of Peggy Lee, although I enjoy her music. And most music of that era, and even of today in that same Genre. My whole issue with music in general is the lack of intelligence and sophistication that is seen in almost every genre today. Mainly those pushed by pop culture and the media.
