Yeah, the source account has to have the Achievements.

What the glitch does is, more or less, Copy and Paste the Source account's achievements to the secondary's.

Therefore, in order for it to work, the source profile must have the Cheeves.

I've continually tried your method for when we get signed in too fast, and I can never seem to get any of the 'signs' that you say will appear when it works. When, roughly, should I be plugging the cord back in? Sometimes when I plug the cord back in the xbox does not even attempt to sign in the source profile...any tips? Thanks.

@AnimalCrossing79 EDIT: I just attempted it and it changed my audio/video settings and default characters to that of my source profile, but I did not receive the achievement at the end of the match.

I've been doing this for people for close to 3 years now.

Nobody I've ever done it to has been banned. Considering how glitchy the Achievements are (i.e., people getting Seriously at 3000 kills, etc.) AND that Gears 2 is already out, nobody really cares about Gears 1's Achievement Glitch.

tl;dr, just frowned upon, if someone ever found out, and they won't.

Thanks, the one I have is called a "Pinnacle Video Transfer Device" and it costs about $100 or so.

The quality can actually be wayyy better but I used some piece of crap website to convert the file into a .wmv so I could edit it, plus YouTube is weird and makes the quality look a lil' fuzzy.

dude i did everything you did my shit just doesnt work man at the end of the game i dont get any achievements but my gamer picture is my source profiles my characters are my source profile all that shit but i get no achievements

Read the reply I wrote below, this might be why it's not working for you too. The time window that you must sign in to the 2nd account is verryy small; you must be precise and on-time. This is usually why it doesn't work.

So I did everything exactly how you did it, and I mean it was perfect to what you showed in the video and all the signs are always there saying that the glitched worked (such as the multiplayer characters) but after the ranked match the achievements just wont come up. I already have 640 G in the game does that do anything to it? Please help!

Are you signing in too early? When you sign in the second profile too early, it will give you the signs that it worked (the default characters, etc) but the Achievements won't pop up.

It's sort of hard to describe when to sign in, but the best way I can...try to do it about a half second to one full second before the bubble goes away.

You can't do it too early, or too late. I hope this helps, but I'll keep trying to help you if you have trouble.
