Yes, Charlie---this reference in "blood/wine" is very clear to knowledge of Christ and how could one go back. The entire idea that seems to permeate that song--is "HOW could one possibly go back to (insert reason) after said knowledge is gained or past?" As the lyrics in it stated about a man who stole from a bank, he's not going to be able to go back---or how someone loves drugs so much they're unable to go back(they'd give anything for it). It's allegory as the poster said
