For the essays don't spend forever on the DBQ, just take 40 minutes on average per essay and do the easy one first, not necessarily the DBQ. After my class looked ovre past AP's we saw that there is a lot of information on the Chinese Dynasties and 1750+ in essays and there is always a healthy mix of everything in the multiple choice.

Overall just move quickly and don't stall, BS if you have to.

(I got a 5 on the practice AP test so I hope you trust the advice I'm giving ;)
