  • Expect to hear screams on any record Ian sings on.

  • hush is a joe south song that thy copyed,, assholes never name him as the one who write it an song it first

  • @halfaday1 Not true at all ! Many live versions of this song exist from DP, and Joe South is mentioned many times as the original writer...

  • WILD! light years ahead of the hit single!

  • Evans much more smooth and gentle...

  • Hush no drugs and no sex. Ask my mom and pops

  • Am 99% sure this is from Montreux Casino, summer '69. Two years later, the venue would burn down, inspiring Smoke on the Water! Jon Lord refers to the song Tequila in the solo. Brilliant.

  • @GreenerHill This show Is Oct 4 '69.

  • Mk I for ever

  • gillan is "the voice" of DEEP PURPLE!

  • 3:00-6:08 pure bliss right there. brings me back to my womb days :) how nostalgic.

  • Rod sings this song better....

  • absolutely NO !!! this one is number one

  • I am gillan`s fan, but song "Hush" I like more with Evans.... But Gillan is the best singer ever.... he is God!

  • I want my purple raw not canned. simon knows about that 88 version if you need some picutures with it.

  • this is cool but we need a studio version...

  • Yeah, for some reason I just can't find a studio version. Not that I mind listening to live though lol.

  • @SkidVixen You know, Gillan and Glover recorded Hush with Deep Purple back in 1988. There's a videoclip too.

  • Always loved this track.....GROOVES...Nothing like BLUES ROCK!!! thanks

  • A quarter inch reel was plugged into the mixing desk, and was fed directly from the live sound and mixed on the fly. This is the tape used for this release. No further mixing was possible - and this also explains the fluctuating levels which occur during the opening numbers.

  • Live in Montreux Casino, Switzerland.

Oct 4th 1969 just 3 years before the famous Smoke On The Water.

  • Deep Purple when they were doing the best work I think they did. Before 'smoke on the water', and other things. Sorry, I'm just biased toward the Early Stuff! ! ! !

But probably my faveorite during this time period would be from the Album: Deep Purple In Rock. Tune: Sweet Child In Time." Just my favorite. Then again, just again, I like most everything from the early days! ! !

  • estos tipos eran y son todavia unos capos

  • What concert is this from?

  • Kneel And Pray, 1969

  • Ian really propelled the band. Love his singing!

  • Amazing

  • 1st to comment :)

Good performance by Gillan, as it wasn't him who sang the original..bass sounds better with Glover too.
