THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THAT THIS IS THE END!! YOU NEED AT LEAST 4 THINGS FOR IT TO REALLY BE A SONIC GAME:

1.) a SUPER COOL hedgehog as the star(mostly sonic)

2.) an amazing bad guy for the main story line(usually eggman)

3.) a BIGGER, BETTER,STRONGER boss that is harder to beat

and 4.) SUPER SONIC/SHADOW/SILVER used to fight against the 2nd boss

the only exception to these rules are classic sonic games, Mario and sonic games or sonic racing games

@xREIxKIRAx Yes this is the final boss. The DS version has a BONUS boss that you use super sonic on. Although, you can unlock super sonic for use in regular stages in the wii version you cant in the DS version.

Mabye it's because after Super Sonic was a story element for so many games, the appearence became less awesome.

That is just one amazing final boss, best in a long time. It's a shame Colours got grouped with the bad Sonic games when in fact it's quite good. I admit, I too judged it without playing and now regret it. It's fantastic and showed that Sonic was far from game over.

This boss was easy, but only after my controls decided to work. The most annoying part was having a slight delay and running into the blocks as a result when I was trying to dash.

Mabye it's because Super Sonic was used too often in the modern games, but I found the final attack on this boss more epic than if Super Sonic had shown up. SA2 was my first modern Sonic game so he was epic there, but it became cheap after a while.

@mh3slayer I think they were trying to get back to Sonic's roots with this game. The theme of the old Sonic games was nature vs technology, Eggman steals animals to power his machines, like in here he uses aliens. Just a simple story fighting Eggman apposed to ridiculous plots about Eggman constantly awakening more and more ancient evils.

In terms of difficulty, yes it was boring but at least it was a simple.

@OcoryustheBold Yeah, the "Seal Evil(s) In A Can" and Robonik being "Hijacked By Ganon" multiple times in the Sonic series are the WORST plot executions to exist. Plus, I've played the DS version of this and I find it more annoying than what I heard about the Wii version but at least the Final Boss wasn't, in anyway possible, Anti-Climatic. In fact, this is the only other Sonic game I played. Now if they only give their characters more development, I MAY consider playing other Sonic games.

I don't know what other ports you're talking about. The Dreamcast Era was by far the best Era. The Genesis Era is taken out of the competition and placed and a shelf so everyone can admire it as a classic. That leaves DC and the Modern Eras. As the Modern Era suffered, the DC Era takes the crown of King of Sonic.

Anyway, the DC Era is the crown king of rubbish shovelware "3D" Sonics. This game and to some extent, Generations, along with every handheld platforming Sonic before the abominations called "Rush" are the only true visions of what a Sonic game is meant to be.

SA2 is beyond overrated, I really don't see the "good" in it.

But to SA2. Here's what I like: 3D platforming, challenge, the story, Eggman being playable, the walkers, Chao, the music, the thrill of getting an A, the memorable levels. Colors is a perversion of that. The only thing I can't complain about is the music. You, sir, need to play some Final Rush.

Or perhaps the grinding, which is controllable and can be stopped by jumping off the rail or sped up by crouching. Or maybe the loops where a dash panel is needed to get you to the right speed to go through. What about the building in City Escape? Other than that, you need controller input. SA2 was my first Sonic game, and the first game that I truly remember. It was wholly memorable to me.
